RE: Any grogs playing this?

Am i the only one that bought it? [:)]

I though it would attract many more players but no one is talking about it. Strange.

WW2 into darkness.

<r> The shadows in the game are way too dark. I couldn´t make a proper screen capture but i took a picture from my phone.<br/>
<br/>
You could see below as the game interface is bright enough and also the elements in daylight so there is not an issue with my monitor but the shadows are nearly ...

RE: Some Questions

<t> Take in count that this is a VERY light tactical game. It reminds me somehow of the classic "Commandos" game but don´t expect a realistic depiction of ww2.<br/>
<br/>
It´s quite fun (and hard) too. Not the game i was expecting but it would give some amusement. <br/>

RE: Some Questions

<t> 1) What size forces do you control? - I see it is squad.<br/>
<br/>
It´s a...number of guys. There are a number of "slots" for each mission. About eight but certain type of mission only allows two or three slots. These can be either a solder or a vehicle.<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
2) Does the A.I ...

Avoiding AI firing MG´s against armoured targets?

<t> Despite its age SPWaW is still one of the greatest tactical games but there´s something that slows gameplay and it´s the fact that the AI fire MG´s and even small arms against armour it have no chance of penetrating.<br/>

This makes each turn resolution a pain because you had to wait ...

<r> Here a quick sample of how a camo texture would like in the game. I doesn´t took so much time to make but i understand you run under a schedule. Surely the bitmaps could be changed so maybe we may see this as a fan-made mod. <E>:)</E><br/>

<t> I know, just kidding...<br/>

The subtleties of camo are only appreciated by a minority of grognards...but changing colours from one to another (without camo stripes and such) doesn´t involve so many time. I´ve never found a game where the same set of models have different texture (except ...

RE: Unit Commanders??

I´ll like having leaders but they should be attachable/detachable so you could use them where you really need. Also they could be "wounded" so, each time the unit is assigned to is damaged there is a chance of getting wounded and you couldn´t use it for the rest of the scenario...

Suggestion: add supression

<t> One of the issues in PG thay i liked most is the "supression" concept, something that is missing here. <br/>

Basically you attack other units and reduce their strength, you either deal damage or not. There are some units that shouldn´t be able to damage other units so easily (read my ...

Tanks vs infantry: some unbalanced issues

Russian AT guns moving & attacking?

<t> I´ve played several scenarios and i find that the Soviet AT guns are able to move one hex and fire without being loaded on a transport, making them very effective.<br/>

German ones can´t even move a single hex without using their transports, making them essentially defensive units.<br ...
