RE: Game crashed while saving my turn

Yes by hosed I meant, is the file irretrievable?

I figured that I was going to have to revert back to a previous turn but I just wanted to check just in case. Fortunately I do save a new file for each turn so my game is not lost completely. Thanks.

<t> Whether the Russians lost 0 or 100 or 1000 men does it really matter?&nbsp; Even in terms of a small scenario the difference would mean absolutely 0 over the course of the game.&nbsp; Sometime people, myself included, fret about the micro details when these outlying situations really amount to ...

I don't have any experience with sending units back to Germany during the blizzard so I'm a little hazy on the benefits.&nbsp; I would be curious to see the Commander's Report for your panzer and mobile divisions if you would be willing to do so.

1st Turn Redistribution of Support Units

<t> There are very serious inequalities in how support units are distributed between the Corp HQ's right from the get go. An egregious example is 9th Army's VIII Corp which is just swimming with attached units while XXXXII Corp, also part of 9th Army, is completely lacking. There are several other ...

<t> I hate the first turn gambits (especially the infamous Lvov as it is completely outrageous in my eyes) although I don't fault players for using them since the Germans need to be as aggressive as possible to succeed long term.&nbsp; Still these gambits were developed through numerous rounds of ...

<t> Part of the problem is we've got lines of communication going everywhere. Separate emails and PM's to team mates, AAR's and messages on the forum under different game titles, guys over several time zones, limited comms between teams, etc. <br/>

RE: Should I consider the checkerboard defense gamey?

<r> I think that many people are looking at this issue waaayyyy too literally when they poo-poo checkerboards. In the game, divisions and corps sit neatly within a single hex and people are looking at it like that unit occupies only that single, solitary space. Players then look at all the open ...

You think you're not going to get shot if you perform badly?
