<t> On a big tv WITP AE and WITE look great, everything is clear. The games look better on the big tv.<br/>

3 day, 2 day or 1 day turns

I have been using 3 day turns against the AI in full campaign games, 1 day turns in the smaller scenarios AI and pbem.

The majority of players seem to like 1 day turns.

Are there any disadvantages to using 3 day turns?

RE: Newbie Looking for Allied player

No full campaign played pbem but the smaller scenarios a few times. Hence newbie in post title.

Got the game when it was released.

This game has many facets so I am not an AE jedi master.

I will only play pbem using 2 or 3 day turns.

RE: I need a 8-inches monitor to play AE!

I sometimes play on a 42" with no problems.

Not all games look great. For example CCMT and COTA look great but Harpoon 3 ANW does not.

The watts used restricts how much I will use the 42" compared to the smaller monitor.

RE: So what if the Japs want to stick around Pearl Harbor?

With a base like Pearl Harbour you would want to target its facilities.&nbsp; For example an opponent who loses millions of gallons of oil will have to change plans.

RE: So what if the Japs want to stick around Pearl Harbor?

Maybe if the Japanese had taken all available carrier aircraft more strikes could have taken place. The only drawback could possibly be the speed of the other carriers.

RE: So what if the Japs want to stick around Pearl Harbor?

<t> I don't see anything wrong with the Japanese staying longer at Pearl Harbour. The major problem are the full campaign scenarios are not designed for a longer operation at Pearl Harbour. More resources would have been used for the operation. It is a whatif scenario. <br/>

Pity a few big ships could not get within range of Pearl Harbour. Couple of hundred or thousand shells landing on Pearl would have caused a lot of damage. The shells from the ships would have been a lot heavier than aircraft delivered bombs. <br ...

Historically US subs probably destroyed more tonnage per sub, compared to the German U-Boats and the Japs. The Japanese did not use the subs to their full potential.
