Minor Typo

It's a nit, but here it is:

Unit 6258 is the NZ baseforce at Nadi, but it is named Nandi BF. Wrong island I think.

I'm using patch 2 with the hot fix.

RE: What were the Brits thinking?

<t> The problem was the Royal Navy did not control the R and D of the planes, the RAF did. Since money was tight between the wars, where do you think the RAF spent the money? Not on Royal Navy aircraft. But I agree with many of the previous posts. If you look at the Hurricane, Spitfire, etc, do you ...

Game hangs

Use this save and go to Lunga. When I tried to create PTs the game hung. Task manager showed the game as not responding. I restarted the game and tried again and got the same result, so this is repeatable.

I've also seen random (and incorrect) sinking reports of my own ships scroll by during a turn.

RE: Suicidal ai??

<t> Yeah, I agree, and while I like the new unpredictability of the AI -- and it is aggressive -- I shake my head at times. I've had fleets of AI AKs and APs loaded to the rails with Nippon soliders with NO escort lead major incursions into allied territory. In my current game, I still hold ...

RE: TURKEY TROTS TO WATER

<t> During the Battle of Jutland, and shortly after a salvo struck HMS Princess Royal a signalman promptly leapt onto the bridge of Admiral Beatty's flagship, HMS Lion, and announced "Princess Royal's blown up, Sir." Beatty famously turned to his flag captain, saying "Chatfield, there seems to be ...

Yep, Freedom isn't free as the song goes. But I have to confess I'm glad I fought in the first Gulf War, not the current one. Warmest regards to all who serve or have served.

RE: Silly AI

Yeah, they have a nice fleet, but it looks like the original PH attack fleet, so really not the AI I think...

But still gutsy on your part. One CA, one CL, USN banzi attack [:)]

Any left without a mission will rest. So in your example 80% do the mission and 20% stay home and rest.

Also oob stands for Order of Battle...

Just hit your print screen button (probably upper row toward the right), open paint, and paste (ctrl-v) the screenshot. Save it as a jpg. No fuss no muss.

Base HQ issue

<r> As allies, I was looking at my base Sampit and noticed the base had a HQ of unknown. When I went to change it none of the regular HQ were available (I had the political points available). I only had three choices, they were locations, not HQ. When I looked at one for the locations, Roti island ...

RE: v1084 - Unit Fragments

<t> I am also seeing unit fragments. I sent a US BF that was assigned to SE asia on transports from the Eastern USA to Cape town. Only a fragment arrived. The "base" unit under the unit OOB is show as being at 0,0. Same result with two SeaBee units I sent to Balboa. Both arrived as fragments, with ...

Yes, the "attached to:" was yellow and I assigned the unit to the fifth airforce successfully.

I also found the 21st TS set to unknown and was also able to change it to a HQ.

I would also agree that the game is running faster. I used the switches as suggested in the "read me" file for a dual core intel processor. Thanks devs for showing exactly how to enable the switches. I had figured it out for the beta patch, but my DOS days were a while ago [;)]

Beta issue Ship Repair Priority problem

<t> When I use the manage ship repair screen and try to set a ship to "critical" to speed up repairs, it shows it will take longer than if I had only set the priority to "high". Example, USS Yorktown is in Sydney and I change the repair priority to high and it shows 27 days to complete repairs. I ...
