LCUopMode

Hello,

Tried both the witploadae.exe file dated 7/6/16 and the one dated 1/19/13, neither seem to generate the LCUopMode column (referenced in older posts as being generated as column "AM"..e.g this post: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10688&t=323176). LCUopMode does not appear ...

Vixel. See my post (link above) from some time back... still running without issue through @ four OS updates on my Mac and many updates to Parallels.

Strongly recommend Parallels. Happy Gaming. Kevin

Command Structure

Love this work by Jim: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 6&t=335697

Can anyone point me to a reference on how to update the command structure? I'd like to tweak a few things, no major changes.

Thank you. Kevin

Re: Looking for BuOrd/ONI Publication

Thank you JD, this helps validate my mod to LSTs mod is what I intended it to be, these civilian resources needed time to be mobilized and readied. At the moment I'm happy taking LSTs starting line up and randomly re-assigning start times/locations over a few months (bigger, more important (e.g. TKs ...

Re: Pilot Training for a 50+ hr Newbie

Welcome to AE Lowesy!

This is one of my favorite topics. +1 to LSTs recommendation you check out the recent related post. Will try not to repeat what you'll find there.

Pilot training is a game within the game, you'll find many of those games within the details and levels of AE. There is no "right ...

No need to lose anything! Copy your game folder (in total all files) into a new folder. Modify from there. I currently have seven (7) WITP-AE folders (each with a slightly different name) one "base" which I copy to make mods and six with various versions of the game and mods ...

<t> Hello Dr H.,<br/>

I don't recall we've every gotten a definitive answer on this from developers and have not done a sandbox test myself. So...my understanding and how I play is:<br/>

RE: Looking for BuOrd/ONI Publication

<t> BB, understand your point and concur it's not about a specific ship(s). I use LSTs mod but have made a few adjustments, for example I delay merchant ships and spread their mobilization into play over about 90 days for the IJ. Part of my thinking was they likely were not armed on 7 Dec, needed ...

<t> Have also made a request directly to ONI's PAO office to see if they can provide a link/source to this (and related) historical documents or a connection to an ONI office that can. I've been able to leverage the CAC (Combined Arms Center) out at Fort Leavenworth for equivalent Army information ...

Too many aircraft - overfilling your CVs will keep them on deck. I ...

RE: Poll: DaBabes vs DaBigBabes vs Andy Mac: Which do you prefer?

<t> indirectly...DaBabes, I play a modified LST's Bottlenecks which is based on DaBabes with his adjustments. LST introduces allot of smaller units and some additional historical units. I've updated LST's startup. LST tweeted his start for rapid play, I prefer more historical start and randomly ...

Hans noted below there was an update that allowed full CV ops in coastal hexes...I missed that note or have just forgotten that detail over time. My practice is to only do CV TF ops in full ocean hexes. Takes any ambiguity away and seems more historical, which is the mode I ...

<t> Simply put. Yes.<br/>
<br/>
As Joe notes above CVEs are not impacted by this limitation, they operate normally from base hexes like Rabaul. <br/>

<t> Pilot training is one of the many "games within the game" which really sets WITP-AE apart. It's an aspect I particularly enjoy. I put a lot of time into it. Rotating pilots, watching skill levels coming out of flight school, maximizing on map training squadrons, cross training, leveraging 2nd ...

<t> Coming to the party late after lots of good advice and reference points. In a quick scroll I did not see anyone mention LCAP. I know I use it frequently and have done so on 8 Dec to help cover a potential 2nd strike. Jump a Sqdn or two (more likely remnants there of after the 1st strike) to one ...

See link above in tech support. For me the "cpuX" switch where "X" is a cpu # (use 2, it's a safe bet) is what fixed this for me.
