When you edit a scenario in the editor, it loads the data files into the scenario.
So then if you change the files, they won't affect existing scenarios. They'll only be loaded into the scenario if you edit it.

Otherwise, you could cheat and change the CRT file to your advantage when playing a ...

Mm... been looking at this and it seems to be a bug...
All the defending units have Shock values (even if value is 0).
The shock should only be reduced if units have no shock (the gray shock icon, not the black one).

So the Shock should be 4 / 2 = 2, not 3.

I'll fix it.

Hi,

The regular AT guns only give shock on defense, not on Attack, so 0:1/2 means there's 0 shock when attacking,
and it will halve the attackers shock.

Shock is divided the stack stack size IF some units are not shock capable - the reason for this is if for example you had your tanks advancing ...

Hi,

No, they don't change, the CRT is the same regardless of the turns per day.

However, the CRT and the battle intensity values can all be modified.

There are data files where the game is installed
(e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Stalingrad\data)
See the README in there for more info ...

Actually, you can mod more than just the graphics, you can mod the rules too. There's data file allowing you to change the CRT tables, the recovery rates, the TOE (i.e. number of tanks in a battalion) and a variety of other things.

Yes, the scenario Editor used to create the scenarios in the game is included, so you can change the existing scenarios or create new ones, or indeed create an entirely new scenario in Italy or where-ever you want.

Oh, I think what must be happening is that when you open the e.g. Ground Asset Command button, the first Command button is selected and that Command must have a mission???
And whenever you select a button with a mission, it centers the map on that mission.

So not exactly sure what to do. I could ...

If I may followup:
a) Thank you for the info on the VII Corp HQ unit but the 10 hex Intel Estimate VII Corps I was referring to is not the unit but one of the Assign Ground Intel Assets. It does not change the hexes effected the same way other Ground Intel Assets appear ...

Indirectly. The more casualties received, the more likely a unit is to retreat. And intensity increases casualties.

gave a unit that was moving to the bridge as reinforcements a Move And Attack orders instead of Move and Defend Orders.
