RE: In Situ

It's really sad that such a basic feature is not really understood by the fan base. We need information from dev here.

<r> First of all, about missing air strike, Dave say in another thread the following:

4. Oh, <B><s></s>one question for Dave<e></e></B>: currently, does the LOS/visibility calculations take into account unit's footprint, or is it simply calculated from the precise spot the unit's icon? Or is it irrelevant, given the 100m ...

RE: Advance to the Sure - defending and.......

<r> During my career, I learned that when you want a problem solved it's always better to describe to the competent people the actual problem you are facing than to ask them for a specific solution. "Don't come with a solution, but rather with a problem."<br/>

<r> <I><s>[i]</s>(Talking about adding features, as a side note for the next iteration, I suggest you separate basic options (such as formation) from advance ones (such as basing). This way newcomers or light players won't be overwhelmed by the UI and the grognards could still tuned up the details ...

RE: Advance to the Sure - defending and.......

<t> Contrary to the OP I really like defending in this game. Even the situation may seems more passive first, it's not really the case. You still need to be proactive, choose where and when commit your troops, withdraw when odds are against you, sacrifice some troops for delaying the enemy, find a ...

RE: Question about the games value to myself

<t> I must say that for having playing both CotA and BftB, I really prefer the scenario in the former iteration. Granted the engine is much more enjoyable now, with many improvements, I still prefer the old scenario, as they seems more "dynamic" with less "fixed" frontlines to me. I guess the ...

RE: Scout/recon button/order

<t> Maybe another option is not needed after all. Much like the auto entrenchment mechanism, the more a unit stay in the same place, the more their recon value and range increase. It make sense to me that a company being in the same village since 2 days have much more recon capability around the ...

I don't know how it could be implemented. Maybe just increase LOS ...

I agree this is really a nice feature, and it's too bad it still does not work yet. I hope you will manage to fix that for the next patch.

RE: How to proceed after the wake-up order?

<t> I don't understand why you order them to rest "manually" ? It should be rare exception in my opinion.<br/>
<br/>
By default at nighttime each unit will auto-rest if the situation allows it. For instance a unit defending a rear non-threaten village will rest. In the other hand, a unit ...

RE: How to proceed after the wake-up order?

What exactly do you mean by "wake up" your unit ? How do you do that ?

If you give a rest order to a unit, it will rest until you give it another order.

Also note that you could set the rest level of each task. Maybe it's what you need ?
