RE: How is everyone finding it?

<t> I can only say that I haven't enjoyed any game this much in a long while. In my humble opinion, the best games of any kind are ones which are simple to grasp but very difficult to master. Given what it attempts to model, the UI and orders system in BftB is about as "simple" as ...

RE: I will learn this game!

<t> I too thought I was alone with my dark secret. I am powerless of the bright shiny allure of new games and the urge to buy "just one more" to find the right fix. I either decide, meh, it's just not interesting enough to be worth my time or...more truthfully..I don't bother to invest ...

RE: News Please

<t> I recall waiting for the release of a game that seemed agonizingly long in development, with a great premise (operational command on the Eastern Front without traditional hexes and turns but via "orders" sort of like....well, HttR, CoTA and BFTB...), and a web page that finally poofed. It ...

RE: How to determine the strength of the enemy?

<t> Cycle through the Intel options to compare Recent/Current/General to watch for trends in movement and get an idea of the number of units you are facing at the given point. Look especially at how current and reliable the intel is on spotted units. Then the same unit status keys as apply to your ...

RE: Price? - You get what you pay for!!

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>I read a lot of comments here of people trying to justify their purchase.. this thread only exists because the price of the game is too high. If the price was 49.99 you would not see this thread and you would not have people says "well I put 60 dollars gas in my car a week ...

<r> <SIZE size="3"><s>[size="3"]</s>[font="times new roman"]Bah, I wasn't going to post on this--wasn't even registered on the forums, although I own several Matrix games. I too had extreme sticker shock when I saw the price. There's been a lot of talk about gaming "impulse" purchasers ...
