Re: Supply losses

Hi,

I recently moved the 2nd PA Constabulary Divn into Laoag as the Japanese weren't coming into the mountains to fight me & had no troops there. I captured the town with 0 supply and The 2 PA Divn had 0 supply (presumably using the bayonet), but then I became target practice for the Japanese who ...

Exactly. I don't have a need to be super organised with shipping since escorts are a real bottleneck. Some xAKs/xAPs/TKs will be idle because no suitable escorts are available.

Re: Some Air and Naval Questions

ad 1.

Yes.

In fact, you don't need to make a cruise. Just create a shakedown TF (empty ships without any load) and park it in some port hex undocked. For extra protection, I like to park such TFs en masse in San Francisco Bay and Adelaide Bay.

HOWEVER, at game's start, they code will create some ...

Re: Logistics

As RangerJoe said, you can use Tracker.

With time, you will develop routines and better hunches,

Take Abadan for example. You dump most of your British TKs there. You just need to haul fuel from Abadan to India. Drop fuel at Bombay and Karachi , and it will be distributed by the code in India ...

In the leaders list, you see the in-game recommendations. They follow a pattern:

Re: Advice Needed: Port Moresby

Unfortunately with all the Japanese battleship task forces steaming around there is no way I am going to be able to reinforce/resupply Port Moresby. It's January 25, 1942 and there are many Japanese task forces heading towards Port Moresby and I really don't have much naval presence in the area ...

Re: Movement Issues

I have a dim recollection that combat LCUs with 0 AV also act wonky when entering enemy-held hexes.

I had some small Chinese corps which had all AV-giving devices disabled and only some active support devices, and when you set them to move towards and enemy held hex, sometimes along the road, the ...

Re: Movement Issues

Re Sian road.

Are all your LCUs there following the HQ unit?
HQs in stock scenarios have 0 AV. Maybe this resets the stack movement prior to entering an enemy held hex?
I would make all units follow the biggest (in AV terms) LCU.

Re: Why no interception?

The question we all should be asking is how the Hudsons can spot the xAK in Overcast weather from 15k feet.
There should be no interception and no bombing run, but the game doesn't provide for such outcomes.

Re: Question re Kull's Spreadsheet

No.

In Adelaide, Kull tells you to create four different TFs, which, for purposes of his spreadsheet, are numbered TF 1, TF 2,TF 3 and TF 4. Just add specific ships to specific TFs as per the Kull's instructions.

Re: Question re Kull's Spreadsheet

Never used the spreadsheet, sorry.

If you read the Kull's first post here
https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopic.php?p=2165277#p2165277
the spreadsheet was created in 2009 and updated in 2017 for Scenarios 1 and 2.

Since 2019, those two scenarios were updated by AndyMac, and the updated ...
