In the otpions menu you'll find checkboxes for all the different types off pop-ups, just turn them off. On this same page you can turn automation on and off for different areas of the game, so you won't get suggestions all the time, like declaring war, colonisation and such.

Character traits

My intelligence agent has 2 traits, lawful(-10% to all his skills but counter-espionnage) and sober(+10% to all his skills) yet he stays at -10% in everything. It's like sober doesn't count.I imagine they should cancel each other out. Is this a bug or am I missing something ?

Mixed races, racial bonus

How much population of an other species do you need within your empire in order to gain their racial bonuses? I know I saw this somewhere in the galactopedia but I'm having trouble finding it.

Right, makes sense. Before that happened I had destroyed their starbase and had the planet blockaded, with no hate from my people as I wasn't officially at war...What if I had just sent in my transports without declaring war ?

2. Automatic exploration sucks. My exploration ships just sit "waiting". "Waiting" on what?

Was the explorer damaged? I believe that if the ship's hyperdrive is damaged after an attack it won't be able to explore.
