Re: WitPTracker News

Timely, and appreciation for looking into ways to update WitPTracker.
Just resurrected a game (scenario 30) last turn #670 played October 17, 2020.
May take me a bit of time to reconcile Java updates since then. If possible, updating WitPTracker to Python would be much appreciated.

Re: New " Mortain " scenario

Good scenario and an enjoyable play from both Allied and Axis sides. AI speed was set to slow and AI difficulty set to challenging. No obvious bugs encountered (the weather issue was noted previously).

As would be expected, Allied side (major victory 21VP) is a bit less challenging than Axis side ...

Re: New " Mortain " scenario

Enjoying this scenario very much. The only minor issue I've noticed so far is weather temperature 9 and forecasts of cold seems unusual for August in this location.
Will complete current play through as US and then run from German side.

Re: Moving to an Adjacent Hex

Clicking on each hex one-by-one should allow you to move the way you described. I do not know how to add a screenshot to a post but, that may help readers understand what is going on in this situation.

Re: DC4 - Some questions, hope anyone..

Good questions.
Unfortunately, I'm a bit rusty on the nuances present in the rules as I have not played in a while.
My understanding of the rules is you are correct, the 37% reflects the percentage of selected unit that can participate in an attack or defense.
Sorry, cannot help much with questions ...

Option 2; A graphically improved version of Tacview would be cool.

Re: Range attack effectiveness

I thought there was a ranged attack mechanic in DC:AO that weighted the initial rounds of an artillery strike resulting in diminishing results towards the end of the round. Simulating surprised target vs. targets scrambling for cover during the strike. If that mechanic is in the game (?), it seems ...

Re: State of the AI

Agree the AI seems to move around too much.
Other than that, I've been pleased with the AI so far. AI units seem to attack-maneuver-retreat in a logical manner based on unit strength vs. opposition and terrain.
AI will always be at a disadvantage so any additional capability you can give it would be ...

Percentage number in attack crosshair?

Great game.
Occasionally, a red percent value (i.e. 26%) will appear inside the attack crosshair on enemy units. Anyone know what exactly that value is telling me?
Thanks,
G
