RE: About using CMANO to conduct educational wargaming

<r> The players are some international studies students?C the aim is not to train the next generation of tactic masters, but to evaluate the consequence of certain policies. I guess some of them might focus the air part of game while others focus commanding surface ships. Many thanks for your advice ...

RE: About using CMANO to conduct educational wargaming

Sorry, but I have a little question, then what about ships? Should player just specify their missions and courses and let AI do the rest or micro-managing is allowed? (EG, have a backup ASW heli on stand-by and release it when a sub is found near SAG).

RE: About using CMANO to conduct educational wargaming

<t> Many thanks. Do you have any resource about how to conduct serious wargame using CMANO? For example, I wonder how long a step should be in the beginning, after first contact and after first missile fired.<br/>

I heard in harpoon, time for one step before contact is 30min, step after ...

About using CMANO to conduct educational wargaming

<t> I am considering to conduct a rigid three rooms educational game. Now I have two ideas, one is to use one single computer running CMANO in editor mode, let umpires control the PC, keep changing sides and let each team see their own situation. The other is let multiple users use joint command and ...

RE: Sea-Based Terminal BMD vs ASBM in SCS scenario

<t> Some comments:<br/>
1.The ASBM missile is wrong, DF-21D can only target "large slow moving target". That is CV and maybe the LHDs. The newly revealed DF-26 is able to target "large and medium sized moving target." Thus, only DF-26 could aim at DDG sized targets. Or someone said that the Wu-14 ...

<t> First&#65292; I have to admit a mistake, The Okiniwa express is DF-11's successor, DF-16, DF-11 can only go around 600-700km, only able to reach Korea. <br/>

RE: Being Logistically Constrained

<t> Based on CPLAN war histrory articles, in real combat, small boats rarely come back to harbor just for refueling and rearming, becasue enemy with big ships would try to intercept them after engagement near harbor, when they ran out of gas and ammo.
