At this point, you have to wonder whether the Russians can successfully force the Dardanelles and Bosporus to reinforce the remains of the Black Sea Fleet. Turkey closed them to the non-Black Sea Fleet portion of the Russian Navy.

One thing to add - if you had any of the DLCs for CMANO, buy CMO from the same source (Matrix if you originally bought from Matrix, Steam if you originally bought from Steam). The DLC licenses should (and definitely will in a Steam-to-Steam upgrade) transfer over.

The Ukrainians brought them out of retirement in 2014, so I'd imagine they have updated the surveillance package somewhat. Given, among other things, the antiquated avionics and the small payload, I rather doubt it would have been converted into a weapon

I suspect this one failed to make a turn ...

According to War is Boring, it's neither particularly fast (a tick under transsonic) nor exactly ground-hugging (it operates at just under 20,000 feet).

Judging by the version number, I'd say no. Steam wouldn't "update" ("downgrade" really) until I checked the integrity of the .39 installation.

That is normal for beta builds, but shouldn't be for official updates. I can't speak to the Matrix version of .34, but the Steam splash screen version is correctly saying it's .34.

What worked for me (using the original version) was overflying one of the AGIs after identifying the SSB as such (I hadn't yet ID'd it as a Golf). The AGI fired upon the P-3, damaging the VHF radio and satisfying the "requirement" that the Soviets fire first.

You can't force a sub to surface in CMO without firing at it and damaging it to the point where it can't stay submerged, at least not yet. However, you will be given new orders that you can execute in CMO should you detect a sub inside the Svalbard TTW.
