Re: Unusual scenario oddities

Pretty much - I sent everything to Africa after 1941 on the assumption that if I did enough damage there he'd never have the resources to invade the UK - I was wrong!

Understood re the USA convoy.

I do think the Finnish issue is worth reconsidering, from a gameplay point of view if not a ...

Artificially delaying capture of Paris - All France gimmick

What are people's thoughts on this - I personally feel it is terribly gamey and should be patched out where possible.

If the Axis player chooses to carry out an 'All France' strategy, what the game appears to have intended to happen is that:
1. Axis invades France
2. French/British troops defeated ...

Unusual scenario oddities

Playing a fairly unusual 1939 matchup where;
- The UK was invaded and conquered in a 1942 Sealion, with Cairo becoming the new capital
- The Finns were prevented from joining the Axis, and have now mobilised on the side of the Allies
- The Axis were driven out of North Africa as far as Benghazi ...

Either side, for a 1939 match. On UK time and can generally do a couple turns a day. Cheers!

Atlantic Wall event

Keen to get others views on this and see if they jive with my own..

Personally I feel this event presents rather poor value for money for the Axis, to the extent that it's almost never worth it.
The coastal guns just aren't useful enough to justify the cost, and if anything they just give the ...

Rail connection Turkey - SU

In a recent game as Allies, the Axis declared war on Turkey and quickly captured Ankara by air. It took them a few more turns to take Istanbul.

However in this time there was no ability to operate troops from the Soviet Union into Turkey, or vice versa, despite there being a rail connection.

Significance - or lack thereof - Sevastopol

<t> Just thought I'd raise this as it was an interesting point that came out of an earlier thread about Leningrad Soviet start position.<br/>
<br/>
As it stands it's difficult to see why a German player should bother sending troops to take Sevastopol - it's heavily fortified, so needs either a ...

Leningrad Soviet start position (1942 Case Blue)

<t> The Leningrad starting position seems, for the Russians, pretty much doomed from the off in the Case Blue scenario. I cannot see any realistic means to hold out there for more than a few turns before the pocket is crushed. Although the German HQ start position is awkward, it's easily rectified ...

Shock army production delay

Following the earlier fix in v1.22.00:
- Shock Armies now have a Production Delay of 4 months rather than 1 (Taxman66).

It's still set to 1 in the 1942 campaign.

RE: Destroying Will952: An AAR

<t> I must say I agree that it feels CP have it tough. Maybe it's the case that at the very top level it's even, but certainly at the (I'd say reasonable) standard me and KZ are at it's very very difficult for CP.<br/>

In the old SC game it felt a lot more even, which I think was down to a ...

RE: PBEM Etiquitte?

<t> Turn expectations is probably best discussed beforehand, but I'd say an average of about 7 per week (i.e. 1 per day but allowing for more on some and less on others) is a good minimum speed. Faster than that is obviously possible, but slower means you may lose track of what you were doing in the ...

RE: Obliterating KZ: An AAR

<r> The Ottomans collapse - hurrah! Large numbers of British troops are indeed now free to go anywhere - shore up Greece or Italy, or just jump on the German piledrive in western Europe. In reality it'll probably be a little of all three. Although I am unsure what would happen in the event that ...
