Re: GUÍA AÉREA COMMAND MODERN OPERATIONS EN ESPAÑOL.

Te has pegado una buena currada. Te felicito, estas cosas son muy buenas para poner el juego al alcance de más gente.

Además, está precioso. Me encanta la maquetación.

Re: Chicken Kiev - Kiev's Sonar should be disabled

We apologise for the problem, and the degradation in gameplay experience because of it. We will do everything in our power to maintain the quality of this and the other TSS scenarios going forward.

I want to deeply appreciate the effort that is being put into improving the game more and more ...

Re: USS Highbee missing (Battle of Hong Doi, 1972)

Thank you for the correction regarding Dong Hoi. I apologize for the mistake.

I also hadn't noticed the second scenario. Indeed, the scenario "The Battle of Dong Hoi, 1972" does have the Higbee correctly included. It seems like there might be an accidental redundancy with the two scenarios.

Thanks ...

USS Highbee missing (Battle of Hong Doi, 1972)

I've been playing the "Battle of Hong Doi, 1972" scenario and noticed that the DD 806 Higbee, which is mentioned in the scenario brief and historically involved, does not appear anywhere. It seems like a small oversight.

Right now, I can still do the bombardment with the Lloyd Thomas and the ...

Re: [1328.10a] opentopo water color palette

In general, OpenTopoMap needs the ability to switch or alternate into low eye strain viewing modes (dark, for instance) to be entirely viable for gameplay.

Re: Borders, coastlines and visual playability

I really like OpenTopoMap, but certainly, having the layout of roads on a dark/high contrast map was a point to consider.

Likewise, and especially for predominantly naval confrontations, I find the combination of only borders/coastlines + latlong grid to be the most comfortable option in many cases ...

Borders, coastlines and visual playability

Greetings everyone,

I have seen a post regarding this matter dated back to 2020 but I believe it has garnered more relevance with the recent (and very unfortunate) loss of the Stamen layers.

I don’t quite understand the relationship with Stamen, but since the last update following the sad news, my ...

Re: Using Standoff Tactics to Exploit Artillery Range Advantage

I have never actually used that setting so am interested in any findings. It might only refer to missiles.

Well, in the scenario "Seconds out round two!", I adress one of my groups of SAAR 2 corvettes armed with Gabriel missiles and 40mm/70 Breda cannons (range of 3nm) to approach the East ...

Re: Using Standoff Tactics to Exploit Artillery Range Advantage

I'm pretty sure the standoff switch in RoEs is only for surface ship warfare. As far as I have experience with it, ground warfare still requires some micro.

As soon as I can, I will conduct some tests, but I couldn't prevent my surface vessels from getting too close to an enemy unit they were ...

Re: Using Standoff Tactics to Exploit Artillery Range Advantage

For land units, how about (manually however) setting unit speed to stop (0kt)?

Surface units can set "ignore plotted course when attacking" doctrine to "No" to strictly follow the waypoint, not endlessly closing to the enemy.

Reference Point relative to non-player unit currently can be set only ...

Re: Using Standoff Tactics to Exploit Artillery Range Advantage

I believe that it should be possible to attach reference points to enemy contacts (including the inaccuracies that this may entail), as well as being able to give the order or make a Doctrine setting that establishes a firm distance between our forces and the enemy's.

I understand that this would ...

Using Standoff Tactics to Exploit Artillery Range Advantage

Hi

I'm currently attempting to command a unit to exploit a range advantage offered by its artillery against an enemy unit. More specifically, I want my unit to keep a minimum standoff distance from the enemy unit, remaining just outside the enemy's own artillery range but within my own.

I tried ...

Re: Submarine evasion

I think I lack information to decide.

How close is the sonobuoy?

In what direction is it relative to your desired course?

strength of the thermocline?

propulsion of your submarine?

is the ocean floor at a practicable depth?

if not, is there a CZ?

how much time do you have?

Do you have a ...
