RE: Common Trivial Mistakes?

Overusing the “assign to nearest HQ” button due to massive laziness. How was I supposed to know LVII panzer HQ was hiding under that infantry division?

RE: Low Axis losses

<t> The only way to cause significant casualties in combat in 1941 is to set up a situation where the German unit has to make multiple ZOC to ZOC moves during its retreat, ideally crossing a river while doing so. You can sometimes set this up with pocket walls made of regiments, but it's so ...

RE: Air Supply - Fuel, REDUCES MP???!?!?

<t> I’ve noticed that isolated units don’t seem to lose MP when getting airdropped supplies. You can supply an isolated unit until it goes up to airhead supply and then use it for the breakout attempt. And MP “lost” from receiving a fuel drop definitely doesn’t carry over to the next turn, air ...

RE: Game Suggestions:

<t> I don't know how feasible this is within the engine, but I'd like unit TOEs that get over 100% to not shrink to 100% automatically. This would both solve issues in game and be more representative of reality, I believe there was a US army study that found US infantry divisions in WW2 regularly ...

RE: HQBU

<t> If there's decent supply HQBUs almost always give the units in question 40 or 50 MPs, depending on, like Telemecus said, an admin roll. Certainly by turn 4-5 HQBUs will give max movement to German mobile units near the normal Soviet MLR, though a hardcore retreat past Smolensk may still drag ...

RE: Setting Axis TOE

I actually think Italians are some of the more useful allies, their high manpower lets them replace their losses after they get mauled by the Russians, those Italian units are a lot easier to keep at 90 TOE than the Hungarians or god forbid the Finns.

If you were to "overevacuate" HI or Arms, which would be better?

RE: How to fix the game.

<t> What a terrible thread. Wish I had an imageboard style "sage" option, so I could post without bumping. Someone more experienced than me can correct this, but my understanding is that at high level play, Germany has an ahistorically easy supply situation, while the Russians, in turn, have the ...

RE: Hunting season resumes

A promising start to the 42 campaigning season. Given how close your lines are to Moscow after winter it seems hard to imagine you won’t be able to get it in 42. Do you have an overall goal for 42, or are you just planning to look for opportunities as they become available?

Looking for a Soviet Opponent *Closed*

Hi new player here, this would be my first PBEM game. Looking for a 1941 campaign, full blizzard, no Soviet +1, and maybe some restrictions on air/naval landings. Also open to suggestions.
