RE: Save Error

Hi Hubert,

I still cannot save (neither through save nor through quit). We are in March 23, 1945. Are there any caches that may need to be cleared?

Thanks, David

Save Error

<r> I am getting a Save error when trying to save or quite in my current game. Had it last night. Thought I'd wait and try it again today and still get the error. I can save other PBEM games so it appears specific to this game.<br/>

RE: carrier intercept range?

<t> The US would have each carrier at the center of its screening vessels and then have each of these groups spread about 10 miles. They would have radar coverage out 100+ miles and coordinate cap from all the carriers within the task force. Later in the war this radar coverage was extended by radar ...

The problem of Strasbourg

<t> There is a real problem with the Germans having a 3 hex attack (one not across the rive) on Strasbourg. This basically leaves a huge hole in the Maginot Line. It can be argued that Strasbourg, being west bank of the Rhine, did not have significant in-depth defensive belts like Metz. I would ...

RE: India

<t> I like to invest in India. It is much easier to reinforce the Middle East/South Asia from India than from the UK. They have a decent force pool and I mostly focus on Infantry tech and maybe fighters. I will often shut down the convoy to build up there MPP's, especially if they are under threat ...

Azores not invadable

I am unable to invade the Azores. I get a message that there is no land connect when I try the beach hex. Naval units cannot enter the "ocean" hex between the beach and the land hex. Tried to invade from all the hexes round the Azores and could not find any that are valid.
