Can we have a circle showing nebula boundaries instead of a sphere?

Since ships move on a plane, the 3d sphere doesn't add useful information. And it is much harder to see where the boundary is, as the projection onto the 2d plane where ships move depends on camera position.

Logistics prioritization could be improved

My border colony starport - home to my biggest fleet - has no fuel in storage. It is requesting plenty, but it is not getting any. I don't have a productions shortage of Caslon.

There's a strong traffic of freighters going between there and my homeworld, but they are not carrying fuel, just going ...

Where can you see the radiation resistance of a unit?

I.e., how can you know which hex radiation level is the limit where a unit begins to suffer adverse effects?

1.09 CPU benchmark

<t> I just upgraded my CPU, and I thought the results would be interesting to share:<br/>
<br/>
Intel i5 6500K: end of turn time is 175-178 s.<br/>
AMD Ryzen 5600X: end of turn time is 85-89 s (from the same save, obviously).<br/>
<br/>
So not surprisingly, a faster CPU makes a dramatic ...

RE: Shadow Empire - Updated Manual

From the patchnotes: "Also the mm penetration value of gauss/charged gauss has been increased with respectively +25% and +50%."

This is not reflected in the manual.

But does any current theft show up on the cashflow report? Or where would you see it?

Effects of theft?

<t> So my director of military research has 1185 in theft. <br/>
What are the effects of this? I can't see from my cashflow report that any money goes missing. Nor can I see that any BPs are disappearing, and since he's not a governor, there's no happiness loss.<br/>
<br/>
So am I actually ...

Adjusting sliders for a council should tell you the BPs it would get next turn

<t> Since the game already gives an estimate of total BPs available next turn, it's a very easy calculation to do. Only it would be nice if we didn't have to do it manually.<br/>

What are the discovery prerequisites for synthetic fuel?

I've unlocked the tech group it's in, but it still says unavailable.

Vic, it'd be nice if the tooltip said why a tech is unavailable.

Conquer city demand should be progress based, not time based.

<t> Currently it seems like there's a time limit of 10 turns, regardless of how difficult the task is. <br/>
It would be better if it were progress based, with progress defined as distance between your borders and the target city.<br/>
Failure condition could then be if the distance had not ...

[1.07.01 Steam] Readiness combat modifier wrong

<r> The 3rd light armor batallion is at 100 readiness. Despite this, it has a low readiness modifier in the attack planner. <br/>
Interestingly, the size of the modifier changes if I select a different hex for this unit to attack.<br/>

Manpower from scrapped units should return to recruit pool

Now they just rejoin the population of the zone. Just because I want to scrap my obsolete tanks, doesn't mean that I don't have jobs for the crew.

Even better would be if the experience of the crew could still be preserved, when they enter the recruit pool.

Private industry should ask permission before building a new mining asset

It's annoying to have to pay to nationalise mines and oil wells. And it makes sense that the state would own the mining rights after paying BP to do the prospecting.

Private industry could offer to buy the mining rights for a particular hex for a fee in a decision.

RE: "* is now so strong it has won the game! You have lost..."

I think it's good that there's a victory condition for the player. Because once that's met, there's no way the AI can defeat the player.

"* is now so strong it has won the game! You have lost..."

<t> Can we disable this? I don't like the game telling me I've lost, when I still think I have a fair chance of beating the AI. <br/>
It's precisely when we are up against a quite powerful AI opponent, it's most fun to claw your way back to victory.<br/>

RE: [1.06.05] workers - lack of emuneration bad tooltip ?

I'm seeing the same thing in 1.06.05: Worker happiness dropping because of "lack of remuneration", despite salaries at 0.003 and private economy income at 0.002.
