Re: OT: How is this possible?

I think a small number of people, mostly civilians, where evacuated after the first invasion attempt.

Some left with the Clipper flying boat that survived the first attack, dont know if any got out via sea, I dont think the submarines picked anyone other than maybe pilots.

Military personnel taken ...

Re: Realistic Recreation of Japanese Flight Schools in the WITP:AE Editor

Should you give those groups only trainer aircraft that cant be upgraded?

If the trainer aircraft can't be upgraded, what happens after a player runs out of them and needs more? Especially if there is no factory producing the engines? Also, if the aircraft are not upgraded, then what happens ...

Cant promise turn a day but can do ~20-40 per month if multiple turns per day works.

Type 92 could fire direct or indirect fire and I did not suggest it would be permanently mounted on the craft.

Re: Hirohito's Honor

All good points and I can understand why IJA liked the Type 92 but acutely lacking in artillery firepower Type 2 was clearly the way to go much sooner.

Only If you can move it, which they couldn't. They needed more trucks, which they didn't have.

Possibly a mix of both would have been a ...

Re: Hirohito's Honor

Type 2 12 cm mortar is ready for production and should be an organic infantry weapon over 70mm Type 92.

Yes, and no.

The Type 2 120mm mortar was an effective weapon, but it had one serious drawback: weight. Both the weapon and the ammo were heavy, neither of which was man portable ...

Do it.

I have within my Mods.

You can easily put into the Editor all those ships and make the Japanese player CHOOSE what to build...

I will when I have my list ready, other examples are the 2 Akashi class AR.

Have to also give something for the Allies as emergency reinforcements at minimum ...

Re: building IJN ships for Modders

To me, the ability to stop, halt or accelerate shipbuilding is undoubtedly the most powerful tool the Jap player has to impact the war in the long term. A/C manipulation is important, thus a close second, but ship building, or not, has a bigger impact on the economy.

True but a big shame that ...

As far as I know, and I don't know if a developer mentioned this, but up to and including 5 escorts will help the crippled ship. I do not know if up to 10 escorts will help 2 crippled ships in the same TF. It would not hurt if the escort TF was following an ASW TF, especially for high valued ...

Supposedly written by a Japanese intelligence officer? Interesting input.
