If you are running in NT then open the command prompt and start the game from there. It should also work on Win 98. Opening the game through the command prompt allows the game to run as if it was running on DOS with all it's quirks about memory. Let me know if it worked.

Sorry, can't answer your questions. The only way I know of making a co CO is to buy the whole company. I have also upgrades some units to HQ and they don't seem to do much.

Sorry

Very nice, do you think you could post a map of the battle. It would help with the visualization.

I really enjoy your reports. Do you take notes during your turns or write it all after the battle?

<t>Well, one little piece of advice. Don't discount the power of small caliber artillery, ie 75mm - 100mm. They don't kill much but they will suppress and a battery can cover a lot of ground.<br/>
Mortars also have a much smaller delay from when called to fire, to firing, they are good for plugging ...

<t>I played the hard version w/o 88s of my own. I bought 1 Infantry company, 1 Atg platoon and 1 AT37mm platoon. The 37's can kill the matildas at close range. Stick them in a forest hex and don't fire till the Matildas are about 5 hexes away. At that range you can't miss and if they don't die ...

<t>As I understand, the flame tanks were given increased range because without it they were always toast before they could fire. <br/>
<br/>
Also, if you allow a Flampanzer II to get that close to you, then you must be the AI. An antitank rifle will kill them things. Very weak armor.<br/>

<t>I have seen this in the current battle I'm playing. It's an assault and there's som SU-122 entrenched in front of me. They are about 10 hexes away, they fire 2-3 times, no spotting. I have infantry, tanks and guns with line of sight to them. I have managed to spot them for a turn, but then they ...

<t>When I use my flame tanks, I tend to loose half of them because of the smoke they produce. I roast a couple of enemy units and then I'm stuck because I have no line of sight. Unless the enemy has been really supresed with artillery, they will usually kill my tank when it moves.<br/>

<t>Buy More AA guns and spread out your forces. The computer, and humans, tend to bomb the same target two turns in a row. If you get bombed, move and don't move anything into the area that got bombed. Also, buy more AA guns. Place them in your forces' flanks. Stager them. The French only have a ...

<t>The hiden infantry thing has happened to me too. Those pesky Brits can really hid in the desert at noon. Drive half traks through them, infantry and then my pretty MK IV comes throught and gets blown up by the ghost squad. Very weird but makes the game more unpredictable and fun.<br/>

<t>No, no!!!!!!!!! I don't want the German one to improve. It was an underpowered weapon. I just think that the US gun is WAY too powerful. I've read many books and they all mention how crappy the US 37mm gun was. Well, in the game the US 37mm gun is a good gun, able to kill most German tanks where ...
