Re: Can't MWIF be bought at the moment?

Re: Got it figured out

Thanks for the response;
I actually reinstalled from v1.00, not v1.06. 1.06 was the version that was currently installed on the computer that I un-installed.

Yes, official v1.25.03.
I tried the uninstall original, actually v1.06.xx; restart; install original v1.00, restart, install v1.25.03, install 1.25.03 hot-fix, install v1.26.02 hot-fix; menu buttons still missing. I have specified XP sp2, admin; I have verified that the Quixley Let font is installed ...

Re: EIA v1.26.01 Beta Hotfix #1 Available

I thought perhaps the newer equipment might to the issue, especially the graphics card (RTX 3070 ti is not all that new, but there are not a lot of them in use with this type of game), so I installed the updated version, 1.2503 & 1.26.01, on a slightly less powerful machine,

Re: New 04.04.01.00 Beta Update for World in Flames

Over the past few months I have made several attempts to update to 04.04.01.00.
Unfortunately, I receive the following message:
"World in Flames not installed
Setup has detected that you do not have World in Flames intalled

Re: Potential House Rules for More Historical Play

It appears that the Leonardo Di Vinci deployed to Bordeaux in October 1940 and not only operated in the Atlantic, but in the Indian Ocean as well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_submarine_Leonardo_da_Vinci_(1939). Perhaps the outright ban should only apply in later years (1942 onwards) or ...

RE: UK out of Merchant Marine by U Boat campaign

<r> This game like most WW2 games puts too much emphasis on the U-boat war. Approximately 10% of the convoys crossing the Atlantic Ocean was attacked by U-boats and of those only about 10% of the ships were sunk. More than 99% of all Merchant shipping to and from the UK reached their destination ...

Vichy Creation - Sardinia alignment

Sardinia has been conquered by France.
During Vichy creation, the game asks to which nation should Sardinia be aligned; Germany, Italy, Japan.
Regardless of the choice, the game crashes.
