RE: Understanding partisans

<t> I can't answer the other questions about partisans but I TRY and manage them by using the SEC regiments that are guarding the major cities to reduce partisan activity by sending them out to kill any nearby partisans within their movement allowance. I also have 1-2 divisions broken down into ...

approaching Winter of 1941

<t> Hi all,<br/>
So in my first ever game playing the 41 campaign it is 25 Sep 1941 and my Axis forces are just past Rzhev<br/>
near Moscow, they are at the gates of Kharkov and 10 hexes or so away from Stalino in the South, But faced <br/>
with a solid barrier of units around Leningrad up to 4-5 ...

RE: How to kill 5000+ sow planes in turn 1

<t> Well I just did my first ever turn at the campaign and only my 3 game playing and got 4164 destroyed.<br/>
I found I run out of the longer range Ju88 and He111 to hit the bases further back (probably because they had been used to attack bases closer) but I struggles trying to get the Ju87s ...

Hi guys,
Thanks for the offers.
I used a program called '7zip', maybe I will have to try the proper 'winzip' program.

road to Smolensk

<t> Hi,<br/>
New player here and have only played the Road to Minsk and now the Road to Smolensk(RtS).<br/>
I must say that this game brings back great memories of playing the counter game Europa (I remember the whole <br/>
of the East front layed out on a large table in a spare room for just ...

<t> Hi,<br/>
I have Ncrawler's fix and it gets the game to run BUT I too have the arty bug AND it makes it almost unplayable as I am unable to select any of the various options in the menu!<br/>
I do find the closing of explorer to be a issue too and would like to try your DLL as well.<br/>

KG,
Having served with the 2/40 (captured in Ambon Indonesia early in the fight to save Australia) and the 2/12 (both Tasmanian regiments), I think you will enjoy the variation&nbsp;to your favourite Gyrenes versus the Japs for Aussies versus the Japs!

RE: Bagration Part II

<t> For me the big (initial) attraction with TOAW 1 was the ability to play FiTE as I used to play Europa series of board games but with NO local opponents and NO space for the maps to sit for months on end it was always going to be a dead horse. Then TOAW came along and despite it's deficiencies in ...

strategy v's game play

<t> Hi all.<br/>
I have a general question to all;<br/>
For the large scenarios (DNO, FiTE etc) is it better to go slow and destroy Russians by surrounding them and thereby reducing the replacements in later turns or go hell<br/>
for leather for distant objectives and deal with the added ...

<t> Hi Larry,<br/>
I also watch your AARs with great interest and am impressed by how quick you get the turns out and the quality of your AARs.<br/>
Please keep them up! I find they are very good as learning tools of right (and wrong) ways to do things in certain scenarios as well as which ...

RE: Aircraft vs Infantry?

<t> Having just suffered a pbem game against an opponent who had 4 Hs 129 ground attack aircraft it was interesting watching the dialog box show what the aircraft was targeting as it flew in.<br/>
It certainly targeted HIS tanks first (I had none left) then changed to my arty (including AA guns ...
