RE: Why is the Pacific Theater So Ignored?

I think it may also be visibility issue. Often you can only see one or two hexes. That can make for a lot of apprihension. After all, do you want to move when you know you get to play target for someone?

It's a very good book for technical info. There is also a German version, which I would also recommend.

Check your help file. Most Download managers have a way to be circumvented. Such as Get Right can be bypassed by holding the CTRL key down when you you start your save.

RE: Too bad this never got finished..

And why not? The Germans, Italians and Japanese get pounded repeatedly in the game. Everyone on the other side gets a fair share of lumps. Isn't that what recreational wargaming is all about?

RE: WAW -vs- ASL

A strange thing about SP:WaW players is that, given a beer and an address, most will burn a CD and send it to you. The game, patches an some other goodies. Something to think about if the download is too big or otherwise difficult to get.

RE: Victory Level Question

As I recall, it depends on if you are playing against a live opponent or the AI. Your ratios are right for live games. For AI games it is 3:1 for a marginal victory and 10:1 for a decisive.

Actually the screen resolution is higher than in SP1-3. The original series was 640x480. You notice the difference in the number of sidebar buttons.

It happens near the end after the file copy. 2 or 3 other keys are written before the error. That would seem to make it something in the .msi script.

Cannot write default feature key

I get this error when installing Case Blue:
Cannot write DefaultFeature to key UNKNOWN\Features\9D35735FF86E3784FB4B8E9956405399

I get a similar one with TLD. Has anyone else seen this?
