The scenario in question has the AI as the attacker and is tasked to exit it's units. In practice the AI does do this. My point is that the human player will not receive VPs equal ...

Exit VO snafu

<t>Well, this may be an old topic that was discussed - cannot tell at this point. Anyways, using latest v7.1, I notice that now the following is NOT true:<br/>
<br/>
(from the manual)<br/>
"If there are any Exit Victory hexes in a scenario, the other side gets ½ the escaping side&#8217;s starting ...

<t>special graphics have to be created in .shp files. Fred Chlandra's SHP file editor is what you need to use to convert the .shps to .bmps and then alter them yourself, or just flatout create new .bmps in Photoshop then use Fred's editor to convert them to .shps and install them in graphics files ...

<t>Thanks, Redleg. Question: is it possible to use more than one type of VH hex with the exit hexes? for example, I'd like to use the exit hexes, the invisible, valueless VH hexes that the AI 'wants', and the standard points-at-end-of-battle hexes. Or is this too much for the AI? The manual states ...

v7.1 inf recon and exit hexes

<t>Noticed that Inf Recon is really lame for advancing as the AI. Even with objectives and set to advance they move on out to the rear. What gives?<br/>
<br/>
Also, wondering if the AI really uses Exit hexes? Anyone had any success with this? I sure can't get it to work.<br/>

Matrix MCs and unit experience ratings

<t>I have a question - maybe you have an answer? Do the units in Matrix' MCs gain experience according to our individual usage of them in combat, or are they prefigured for each and every scenario? I want to know what the difference is between the standard designed campaign and the MCs in regards to ...

<t>I'm glad we are focusing on suggested accuracies now. It's a good topic.<br/>

Remembering that ACC is simply the range at which a weapon has a 50% chance of hitting it's target, what do people suggest as the the M1A1, M9, Schreck, and (perhaps) PzFaust variants? Let's go for technical ...

<t>Well, I'd say I'd buy it especially because of the Soviet opportunity, but if it would divert substantial time and manpower resources from CL, then no. I'd rather see all the MC's and the final version of v7.1 finished and tightened up.<br/>

Would be cool, Belisarius, but I just don't think you can make the engine recognize sniper-inflicted casualties and react accordingly. I think the game sees 'X' amount of casualties and suppression either comes or it doesn't. My guess here, though.

<t>Redleg, what a cool idea for neophyte players! I am sure they'll appreciate it. If I were a new player, though, I'd be more enamored with a smaller force to command as new players are more interested in progressing through a battle and seeing their results and/or mistakes. Better to lead a ...

Let's name the SPWaW community

We need an affectionate name for our community. You know, like 'Big Apple' and that stuff. Sure, it's Matrix' SPWaW Forum, but that's official.

Any ideas?

First one: SPWaW-ville -or- SPWaWville

<t>Yes, there seems to be a movement underfoot to make the next MC based on the German campaign for Denmark...<br/>
<br/>
And I think I'll make this one up for the community. Essentially you choose your core force, hit 'Start', and then are immediately taken to the victory screen!<br/>
<br/>
hehehe ...

What I mean is this:

Is there a way to choose a core force (and deploy)for a campaign that I am designing, then in the second and all following battles the player can set up the forces as he desires? I am essentially looking to format the core force for the players.
