RE: Rulevar meaning

Thanks for the answer. What is rulevar stand for? Are power points the number on the counter? All this may be in the manual, but I'm having a heck of time finding them. Still, great game!

Rulevar meaning

<t> I have been trying to make an amphibious landing and just found the rule in the manual. It says that I need rulevar 307 points. This word rulevar is throughout the manual and I don't find a definition or explanation on the forums or in the manual. I am really enjoying this game. Can someone help ...

RE: War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition Game Manual!

It has been a long time since I wrote anything on this forum, though I kept reading all these years. This is just to say thanks for what you have done and for the joy of a pre- release manual. Thank you.

RE: Is anyone actually playing the game?

<t> I play one or two scenarios a month and have a long campaign going which I jump back into once a week for eight or ten hours. When thats done I start a new one. Then I have a mission in the megacampaigns to play at least once a week, again eight to ten hours. This routine has been going on with ...

Steel Panthers World at War is still the best

<t> I have been playing wargames for a long time, since 1970. I discovered SPWAW only three years ago and loved it. Bought all the megacampaigns. I play other games, boardgames, the usual pc games, some playstation, fantasy, sims, all kinds. <br/>
Not too long ago there was some excitement about a ...

Why troops won't load on all the ships

<t> Noticed that in attempting to load a task force in San Francisco, that of the six ships, only one loaded troops. Later when I checked back the other ships were loading supplies but no troops. It happened a couple of other times and then I noticed that the ships that didn't load troops were ships ...

RE: Surface sortie

<t> I had six PT boats, based at Bataan in February 1942, sortie twice against different passing transport task forces one hex away. They had no torpedoes by that time and attacked with their 50 cal. and 20mm guns. They were able to damage three transports, one of them heavily. One PT boat was also ...

It is an amazing game

<t> I have been playing wargames since about 1970. Board games then. Rule books full of typos and maps that were incorrect. Some rules were ambiguous and some were just wrong. Each person had to figure it out on their own and make it work. Sometimes they might re-release a good game with some fixes ...

<t>There were alot of battles in and around Stalingrad that had nothing to do with streetfighting. It would be interesting to introduce some of these to gamers who only see block to block, hand to hand as the only battles which took placed in Stalingrad.<br/>

That said, I would still elect to ...

<t>I'll work on an after action report over this coming weekend and post it next week. The taking of Gavutu-Tanambogo took a lot of thought and was the first so I'll start with that.
