Decisions Decisions...

<t>I watch most of them as I find it increases the tension, i dont watch the ground battles and bombardments as there is very little to them. The patch will probably increase the tension and<br/>
will increase their importance.<br/>
As a result im not sure where to cast my vote accurately so I will ...

Is this correct?

6 6in/50 41YT Gun Naval Gun 200 75
27 4.7in/45 QF Gun Naval Gun 150 100
Seems to be a very effective 4.7in gun compared to the 6in/50
which looks a little on the weak side:)

Commanders?

Is this due to the ability of the TF commander?
I think some commanders overide your orders in particular if danger is percieved. Eg an unescorted TF sailing to a spot close to an Air combat TF and patrol/do not retire is on.

I think you need to unerstand..

<t>That the customer is always right is a good starting point.<br/>
<br/>
However, how many companies offer the same level of service and support on a product as Matrix? There must be hundreds of different people posting on this forum all with different ideas/criticisms/suggestions which would make ...

Endurance

<t>I think its simply the ships with a greater endurance (and therefore fuel to spare) sparing a little fuel for those who are running low. good examples would be destroyers refueling SC's<br/>
that are in the same task force or BB's and CA's refueling destroyers. It does use up operation points.<br ...

You can give them a destination from port while they are on computer control with the same effect and less micromanagement

<r>I am playing the main campaign as allies with no Midway and its now Jan 43.<br/>
The only problem with the large number of planes is the supply.<br/>
Lunga alone is up at over 30000 required.<br/>
The Japs dont dare come near my bases during the day. The AI has "learned " that if it does its ...

<t>I have taken out 4 Jap CV's and 3 CVL for the loss of one CV so I control the seas quite well. I also have gone for the Port Moresby pileup having 500+ aircraft there. Wirraways are good at Naval attack but suck as fighters as do most FB. I also have the great Lunga pileup with 700+ aircraft ...

Is this possible?

<t>I just watched a combat replay in my PBEM game.<br/>
It was a carrier battle Lexington and Yorktown versus<br/>
The Shok,Zuik and shoho.<br/>
I got react to enemy and first strike of 3 wildcats<br/>
75 divebombers and 25 TBD. I got multiple hits on all 3 carriers<br/>
all showing heavy damage ...

Good reply

I am doing very similar to you. Remember that in the initial part of the game your antisub TF's are so inexperienced they dont even know where their own depth charges are stored:D .Also when they are this inexperienced they will die quickly as well.

<t>If you really think CV's are not effective enough then your not using them properly. He who has command of the sea has command of UV. I am in Sept of the grand campaign as the allies. I have sunk all the Jap CV's and CVL's apart from Zuikaku(sp?) for the loss of lady Lex. I have dominance of the ...

Minor tweaks

<t>The saved games dont have a memory of the AI settings included<br/>
eg when i have played an e-mail save and load my normal save afterwards the default settings are head to head. I have to manually switch to Jap computer.<br/>
When a TF is ordered to go to a location the screen updates fine but ...

I too send my subs to Jap bases with very good results. I assume that as the game progresses the escorts get better at attacking and sinking them. I could see this tactic being a problem in an e-mail game. Perhaps escorts near bases should get a bonus against subs;)

Hi Erik

<t>The first system had 64 Mb of RAM and a well defraged drive. thats why I checked the drive as I knew it would be swapping a lot. The 2nd one has 512Mb of RAM. Both systems use Win 98SE.<br/>
The first computer is older with a pentium 400 and an Expert@play 8MB video with an inline 8Mb Voodo1.<br ...
