RE: FITE Curt vs larry T255

Looks like now this is going to be a bit like WW1.

With the shorter front lines do you guys find turns take less time or is it still a massive effort to get through that number of units?

The front line is considerably shorter, especially with all those lakes and inlets.

RE: Curt vs Larry FITE T240

Looks like your troops in the Ostrowiec Pocket ( southeast cornerpic) are pretty much done for as there is no road leading out of it.

Once the Mud Season starts are you planning a retreat to the Oder?

RE: Curt vs Larry FITE T236

On reading the AAR it's hard to say. Larry did better than the Germans historically (he captured Leningrad) but his losses were severe. Without any idea of what Soviet losses were like we're a bit in the dark.

RETREAT TO THE ODER! RUN LIKE THE WIND!

Wow... that's about 50% of your HSR's destroyed in 20 turns or so.

I don't suppose that range thingy can be set to display the range of the shortest indirect gun rather than the longest?

Hmmm, I suspected as much and indeed it does change things!

However on the detailed combat report the guns which didn't fire still show up as having taken part. That's what had me confused.

Q on Artillery

<t> Hey guys,<br/>
<br/>
you know when you have an artillery unit with several different pieces of equipment all with different ranges, AFAIK the range displayed on the unit is that of the longest range gun. So the Q is - when you give the unit a fire mission - do all the pieces fire, or only ...

RE: supply - esp for mech units

<r> On doing some basic playing around with the game it seems as if movement penalties approximate a 40% reduction between a fully supplied unit and one at 1 supply & 33 readiness. This is probably not quite harsh enough (the fact that the unit still retains significant combat capabilities is ...

<r> Numerous games have wiki sites which sort of act as in informal manual and resource guide.<br/>
