RE: Sunset and Sunrise times

<t> While we are discussind moon rise and set times, those are way off in the game.<br/>
The light ranges from 0 to 24. So it seems reasonable to assume that 24 is a full monn and 0 a new moon, with 12 being a half moon.<br/>
Now a full moon always rises at dusk and sets at dawn. A new moon does ...

RE: Advances engines from mods and research

Hi kmitahj, thanks for your answer. Do I get it right that planes can be researched but it just makes no sense to accelerate them to before their engine appearance.

Advances engines from mods and research

<t> Some mods introduce advanced engines (like advanced Mitsubishi or advanced Nakajima). Those engines can not be researched and are available when the time of availability is reached. Is that correct? Now, can planes using said engines be researched before the engine is available? They could ...

RE: Pilot Pool against AI ?

<t> So, if my training unit comes back afetr 90 days it will be filled by whatever pilots are left in the named pilot pool, then by unnamed pool pilots and then finally by the ones I wish to train. Is this correct? And every time I cycle them through the unit they will lose 15 +something days and 10 ...

RE: Pilot Pool against AI ?

<t> Played another turn. But if this is true it basically means that each turn I have to check the pilot quality by test assigning one pilot and then either continueing or reloading the game. And this probably after each pilot as I cannot be sure of the quality at the moment of assignement. [&:]</t>

RE: Pilot Pool against AI ?

Hmm... that would explain it. Any idea if this is per pilot or per batch that I release into the pool?
Are named pilots assigned before unnamed ones from the pool are assigned?

Pilot Pool against AI ?

<t> HI, I play a self modded game vs. the AI in version 1806. However the pilots I disband in Osaka seem to vanish as the ones I assign are very poor (30-40). Now I know the feature has been abolished in PBEM but vs the AI it should still be going, right?<br/>

RE: Production Mechanics and Strategies

<t> Well, where to start? O.k. what I learned from these forums (and it is different from old BTR as I understood it) is that you need 1 parts, 1 assembly and 1,2 or 4 engines to fulfil a plane construction. The number of engines being hardcoded to the type of plane. Usually its the number of actual ...

RE: Factory damage

Harley,
after a factory has dispersed it remains as a damaged capacity 1 plant but without attached equipment (say EFACs have no engine type attached - and can not be accressed in the production menu). Will this plant start to produce anything when it finally gets repaired?

RE: Plane Replacement?

<t> Yep, I did so (increasing the pool of G-6 above 500) then either manual or automatic swapping is possible. However you have to be careful as you cannot swap back. Which means that those units which can use all types can no longer use the poorer types (i.e. Ljastuvka, MS406, IAR, D-520, G-50, the ...

Altitude

Hard Sarge,

do you have altitude information on the italian types and the poor Co-axis types?
Could there be a high-alt gem amongst those sub-par planes?
Are two-engined destroyers/night-fighters/jets affected by altitude?

1000 pd bombs always penetrate the flight deck of said carriers. So what you have here is probably what Feinder said
FoW hits (i.e. no hits at all but reported to be so)
or belt hits (which will not be penetrated)
or hits which roll a very low damage.
