Zuikaku and Soryu sunk, Shoho and Shok got mauled, but I think my last recon report said Shok was back at Rabaul (or she never left).

I thought recon reports didn't show ships in port??

Carrier Capacity

It doesn't seem like the carriers in UV are carrying as many planes as the carriers in the real war. I haven't tried disbanding any, is there a way to stand down your wildcats and have some fresh planes brought up to the deck?

The real carriers had more fighters didn't they?

I still haven't found a way to keep my carriers from attacking aside from standing down all my planes.<br/>

Thanks, that is good to know, if the top five dislikes in UV are addressed in witp, it is going to be one hot game.

OK, let me wipe the egg off my face. Still learning on Coral sea, and since the senerio set up a replenish task force to follow the two carriers I took for granted they would have fuel for refueling, but you are right, I don't see fuel listed.

replenish TF

<t>I had my replenishment tanker in the same hex with my carrier fleet, it was set to follow the carrier fleet.<br/>
<br/>
During the orders phase I clicked on the carriers to fuel at sea, then clicked on the tanker and ordered it to fuel TF at sea, but nothing happened.<br/>

Barges

I have read the manual on this, but still don't have a real understanding of how to use them.

Do you have to build these barges as well as PT boats with supply points, and personel?

How do you use barges, when should you use barges?
Thank you.

<t>I agrre that more control is needed, there is nothing more frutrating than seeing a invasion force approaching, setting everything you've got to naval attack, then having your bombers head off to some other port instead of the invasion fleet.<br/>

I think you should be able to head them in ...

<t>I'm still learning on the Coral Sea senerio, a couple of more questions.<br/>

I am trying to get my cruisers and DD's in Brisbane to do a fast transport to either Gili or Buna, and then stay there to help against an invaision force. <br/>

Oh, that's good to know, so cargo planes can bring in aviation fuel to Buna I guess.

So if a base has supply, but 0 fuel, you can still keep the PB-y's on patrol?

<t>So you really have to run air ops out of Port Morsby for fuel reasons, or have your have your planes low on fuel in Buna, I guess this is strictly a carrier senerio.<br/>

I hope in the new game they allow you to decide where your planes attack, kind of frustrating to let that taskforce ...

undocking cargo task force

I'm having a hard time telling when my cargo task force is ready to go, do you have to undock when the ships are loaded, or is this command for situations when you want to leave in a hurry with a partial load?

So you can't send one of the B-17's on a long range search, while you rest the remaining crews in that squad?
