<t>Well I am happy to see that my hunch about the altitudes may have been the culprit on the wacky loss ratio for the PH raid. As for Kates flying at 20K with torps, the post here showed they had bombs and not torps at 20K. There were two groups that went low with torps and 4 high with bombs from ...

<t>I don't think it is a problem. With the altitudes and the high losses, I saw the altitudes with fighters at 1000, torps at 20K and the others scattered in between as a possible clue. I do think the loss ratio was high. I am certainly no critical genius when it comes to this game, just an observer ...

Luskan,

In your opening at PH, the altitudes on the planes look out of whack for a 'typical' carrier strike. Torpedo bombers at 20,000? I understand they can be used as level bombers as well but the altitudes may give a clue as to why you lost so many planes.

<t>Hey,<br/>
<br/>
I would think it is the total overall support at the base versus individual units. I believe the theory is to keep the subunits with the HQ they belong to instead of scattering them all over the place. Those HQs provide the difference from what the units themselves lack. <br/>

I used both types of update, True Update from the website and a downloaded version that I loaded from the computer. It updates to 2.3 but it will not let me past the toggle switches. I have to run in 2.2 if I want to play the game. I have tried it numerous times now and still no luck.

I am also having problems with the 2.3 fix. I have to run mine on 2.2 instead. As soon as I put 2.3 on from either a download or the website, the game hangs at the toggle switch area. I am unable to toggle anything and sign into the game. I only have one CD-ROM drive.
