Buy this or wait for Battles from the Bulge

I'm wanting a game like this. Should I buy COTA or just wait and get BFTB?

RE: Sorry, but it's not finished

karlxii, I guess it'll come as a shock to you that the AI in GalCiv2 gets major economic bonuses at the higher difficulty levels to provide a challenge to players.

<r> That is a shame.&nbsp; That resolution looks <B><s></s>bad<e></e></B> on my monitor.&nbsp; If you can't support higher resolutions or a windowed display (I can put up with small but clear, just not blurry to the point of being unreadable), I'll pass.&nbsp; The eye strain isn't worth it ...

Warpstorm, when you try any of the suggested fixes, do you ever see the taskbar, even momemtarily?

Sure do, just can't select anything.

<t> I am one of the unlucky ones for whom it does not work. This is particularly annoying to me since I realize what it takes to honor this request (and I do it in all of my programs (even the DirectX ones)).<br/>

RE: print costs

<t> I just read Tom Chick's Gamespy review and I must say, he gave intelligent reasons for what he didn't like. He didn't say "Dude, like they actually expected me to read the manual before starting. And there's no pixel shader support for my new GT 7800." His primary complaint was that it was too ...

Oddly enough, I'd have given Victoria a 2 star myself. Boring. Which is a shame, because I really wanted to like it (sad to say, I keep saying that about Paradox's games).

RE: print costs

<t> If I could get it, I'd ask for my money back. While the game may be good, I'll never know because of the sub-standard programming. C'mon, a windowed mode is trivial (even using DirectX) and really needed for those of us with LCD monitors, as is responding to the alt-tab request (for those of us ...

The nVidia drivers do have an overclocking util, but you need to change your registry to expose it. Google Coolbits nvidia for detailed instructions.

Why not direct download yet?

I understand exactly what going gold means (I am in the business). Why not set up the direct download immediately? Why wait till the disks are ready before allowing those of who just want the download version to do it now since it is in fact done?
