RE: Japan more prepared?

<t> I was playing with the editor and I noticed that CS Mizuho and Nisshin are convertable to CVLs like the Chitose and Chiyoda with their own future airgroups. Shinano is now a second unit of the Taiho class even though the airgroup is the same. Hopefully at some point some one will come up with a ...

RE: How many WITP players are aspiring/current aviators?

My friend says I need to learn in something slower like a champ or cub. The Howard is real stable and very sensitive to rudder. It is so nice to hear the rattle of a Wasp radial up front. The one he has was an air ambulance version with a bigger door.

RE: How many WITP players are aspiring/current aviators?

<t> I got to do my first takeoff in a taildragger yesterday. I'll second PBYPilot's opinion on crosswind takeoffs in them. I have over 4500 hours and it was very humbling. It was in a friend's 1943 Howard DGA-15P. I don't much of the WWII history of this aircraft but it was quiet unique going from a ...

<r> I'm an airline captain for a 121 operator. I am also a flight instructor. The new FAA sport pilot rule should make getting a pilots liscense a lot cheaper once the program gets rolling. Even though their are some limitations on the license it is a great start. You are limited to an airplane with ...

RE: disappointed!!

If you want a good real time (sort of) Carrier battle game SSGs Carriers at War is pretty good. It is a little old now but a very enjoyable game.

RE: Upgrade paths

It's a catch 22. You need the P-38s desperately, but you need them in strength to make a big difference. By the time you get the P-47s you have F4Us and who cares.

RE: Upgrade paths

According to Spooky's site the P-39s and P-40s only upgrade to P-38s. The P-47s are only good for replacing losses for the few Thunderbolt squadron's you get latter in the game.

CV Victorious

I have played a couple of games as the allies deep into 1943 and I have never gotten the release of the Victorious. How bad does the situation have to get before this ship will appear?

So where are the Enterprise and Lexington TFs on turn one? Are they in Pearl with a three turn movement?
