RE: Computer Controlled Subs

<t> Can someone at Matrix PLEASE ckeck into this? I switch my subs from Manual to Computer Control often, but I dont desire to keep Auto Subs Ops on because I prefer to control how many subs I send out of port at times. This used to work fine in UV, and I hope this wasn't delibertly changed in WITP ...

RE: ESC is the KEY to WiTP bliss!

<t> You could also just press any alpha or numeric key (a-z or 1-0). This will do the same as pressing ESC, except you wont miss your combat reports! When a report pops up, just hit ESC or click Done. I usually keep my fingers near ESC and 1, alternately pressing the two as needed to keep the phases ...

RE: Sub bug

<r> I'm playing the full campaign with Auto Sub Ops off, and all theaters are on Human Control. Normally (as I did in UV), I'll create a sub TF, assign it a destination, then place it on Computer Control for a while. After placing my sub TF's on Computer Control, they go to their final destination ...

RE: Computer Controlled Subs

Yep, with Auto Sub Ops on it does work. The problem is, setting a sub TF to Computer Control should also work with Auto Sub Ops turned off too! This is the way it worked in UV, and should in WITP too. This must be a bug and I hope it gets fixed.

RE: subs

Except subs set on Computer Control dont seem to move anywhere else once they arrive at their destination. I cant get this to work properly unless Auto Subs Ops is on too. [:(]

RE: Laying Mines

Hi, make sure you're assigning the Mine Laying TF a destination hex. I've used ML's quite a bit already and they've been laying plenty of mines for my good friends to play with!

RE: Japanese Player vs Allied AI

<t> It's obvious Pearl Harbor is representing all the facilities in the hex as Frag stated. For gaming purposes, I can understand NAS Pearl Harbor also representing Hickam & Ewa due to their close vicinity. But what about Wheeler, Bellows, Haleiwa and my favorite place Kaneohe? One airbase can't be ...

RE: Allied Player vs Japan AI

[X(] The Intel screen might not reflect the total casualties which I'd like to see, but I'm relieved WITP emphasizes the importance of ground combat, unlike UV.

RE: Allied Player vs Japan AI

Yea, what the hell happened on Wake? I was a bit angry to see my brothers defeated so easily! The 1st Defense Bn. shouldn't had been overwhelmed so easily. How the heck did the Japanese assault get 3 to 1 odds anyway? I guess so much for that going historically on the 22nd.

RE: Allied Player vs Japan AI

<r> Outstanding thread Mr. Frag! I'm glad someone finally had the interest (& guts [;)]) to fire up a game vs. the AI and post some AAR's! Well, I dont have any more doubts concerning AI aggressiveness. The Japanese AI seems to be extremely active carrying out amphibious assaults, and all those ...

RE: Yea but how is the AI?

<t> I prefer solo play myself too. Not sure how many testers played against the computer. I know Kid mentioned he played so many turns but didn't seem to go too deep into the entire campaign. <br/>
<br/>
Just how intelligent & aggressive is the Computer player? Hopefully more so than in UV. <br ...
