Can you create German Army HQ?

Noticed in the 1943 scenario that Germans have Crimea and Kempf Detachment Army HQ, but in my 1941 campaign PBEM
I don't see those guys in the reinforcement list. The reason I ask is the 11th Army has withdrawn and my corp in
the Crimea have no army HQ replacement. Thanks.

Hi German general portrait incorrect

<r> One of the things I LOVE about computer wargaming is I'm always stopping to wiki some leader or unit. <br/>
Anyway, came across Friedrich Koch, german general commanding the XXXXIV Corp in 41. I thought at first that matrix<br/>
couldn't find the real guys photo, so plugged in some dude from ...

RE: Patch 06 - Public Beta - Build 1108m7 updated 5 June

Hi,

If I start a PBEM with the beta, will we be able to update it with the offical patch when it comes out, or will we have to start over if we want to use the official. Thanks.

BFN2 Kate question

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
Playing the main campaign in PBEM as the Japs, and I noticed that the Kate is not in production, even though it is used by the KB torpedo bomber groups. Since it's replacement the Jill does not begin production until mid-43-and their are only 32 kates in the pool, I ran out of ...

RE: WITP Admiral Edition Wish List

<t> Only two things I would like to see in the new edition...<br/>

1.&nbsp; In the new game manual, please segregate the new rules from the original rules, or color-code it or something.&nbsp; I really don't want to have to read that monster again.<br/>

RE: Jap player here-1.802 is not letting me divide my air groups.

<t> Hi. Yes, I have all three sub-groups at truk, all fitted out with Alf's. level 9 airbase, air support about 350, and abundant supply. Will not allow me to reconstitute.<br/>
<br/>
I guess I can try installing the game again without the 1.8.02 patch, and see what happens. If it works, then I ...

RE: Jap player here-1.802 is not letting me divide my air groups.

<t> well, I tried to reconstitute three sub-groups at Truk. All three had Alfs. the rebuild option wasn't even available (grayed out). Since I was breaking down and disbanding sub-groups into my front line fighter formations prior to 1.8.02, and now I can't, I can only assume this was due to the new ...

Hi,

I read the word doc that came with the patch, but I'm still not sure how to extract the Named Pilots from my pool. Can someone here tell me how to do that. Thanks.

The Zulus are to the British. Is that a good analogy? It seems after 42 it's pretty much one-sided. What do other people here think.

Japan's scientists suck

<t> Im in 44 as the jap and getting lit up in the air war. My question to you all is, why did it take the japanese so long to come up with aircraft designs that could compete with the allied aircraft? I mean, the corsair comes out in early 43, and it takes 2 1/2 years for the reppu to be designed ...

Its Dec 1943-George or Zero?

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
Its December, 1943, and as the jap player Iam getting worked, which is ok as that is what happend historically. However, I accelerated the production of the George...in addition to husbanding my fighter squadrons pilots...so that i could replace the zero en masse and hopefully ...

1.8 and starting over

<t> Ok, just spent two years of my life battling to Dec 1943 as the japs. With the new patch out, were thinking of starting over. Also, were thinking of incorporating Nik's mod.<br/>

Experienced Jap airmen mean nada

<t> It's dec 43 in my pbem, and I just lost 100 tony's for 6 thunderbolts. I've been playing this game since it first came out, and been reading this message board regularly regarding the historicity (?) of the jap pilot training program. Despite all the reams of threads regarding this, it's all ...

How does the Tokyo Express work?

<t> I'm the Jap in late 43 in my PBEM, and I just haven't had a lot of luck with this tactic. I recently ran a 25 DD group via Tokyo Express to resupply a base, but on the way 2 DD's stopped to drop some charges on a sub. They continued on their mission, but instead of six hexes away in the morning ...

<t> Here we go again.<br/>

You can't have sensible training regimes without having sensible A2A loss regimes AND historical base stacking restrictions. Remember when this game first came out, and Mogami had posted this "how to" as far as pilot training for Japan? Basically, you have a ...

It's August, 1943. How are you doing as the Jap?

<t> Most of the AAR's I've been reading on this board deal with the 1942 period. Either people are just starting a PBEM or are quitting after their high-risk, high-reward strategy fails.<br/>
<br/>
Well, we've been playing the scenario 15, and as the jap I chose a more careful strategy, keeping in ...

CAP question

<t> Howdy,<br/>
<br/>
As the jap player, I have my fighter squadrons at Rabaul set for "zero" range, and a CAP target of Rabaul. However, I read in the rules that CAP has a chance to react to enemy sorties up to two hexes away. The reason I am asking this is that I am trying to keep out of range ...
