Good thing the Anglo Saxons stripped the Normans of any valuables before the execution ‘n burial, or the archeologist would be sidetracked trying to value the spoils for auction houses.

RE: HPS new games

<t> I have just ordered the Sealion game from NWS. When it gets here and I have had a weeks play i'll post a report in this thread. I have wanted someone to do a Sealion game ever since I started wargaming on a computer. My first was a squad leader type game that was for the Atari 800 and came with ...

The only thing i'm disappointed about is that I don't have enough 'play' hours to enjoy this little beauty again.

RE: Would you wait for the first patch

<t> Well I feel as though years have gone by waiting for this.....hang on! Years have gone by!! So had to buy it. I will have a little play around with it but will wait for patch before spending much time with it as still getting to grips with WitP:AE. BTW it seems to be running fine on a 5 year old ...

RE: War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition Game Manual!

After a long time away from here I'm back after buying this. I thought I had broken my addiction to WITP but it seems I'll be hooked a while yet. I don't seem to have the manual download show up in members area. I just have downloads for the map and the hot fix. Any ideas?

RE: Dwonloading patch's

Hi, it was an odd one that resolved itself after a day or so. Maybe a problem with Matrix somewhere? Nice that someone from Matrix replied though :( They used too in the old days before they got rich, fat, old and uglier :)

Dwonloading patch's

<t> Hi all, Not been around for a long while due to work and other 'life' stuff getting in the way but decided to dig out Witp and play it again. Tried to download the patches but links would not work. It was the same with all other patches I tried to DL on the site. Is it me or is there a problem ...

<t> A Celtic curse upon you Erik. I have managed to not buy a Matrix game for 6 months and with this one it will be three in a week!!! Thankfully the exchange rate is very kind but please don't bring out any more 'must have' games for at least a week or two!![:D]<br/>

RE: Operations/Campaigns

<t> The lack of any kind of campaign does stunt the fun a little but the low cost of the game and what you get for that money still makes this a must buy for any Close combat fan. I'm sure some user created scenario's will pop up soon and you get a good bunch of scenario's and an editor to play with ...

Yeah the secondary explosions are killers and the the mortars are very, very, naughty. Some of the multiple explosions are quite something. For me this release has pumped back some excitement into a jaded old gamer!
