RE: Lending Units

In surrender terms, you should have includued a few months of free passage to let the corps exit the contry. A few months does not cost a lot of points, and so you don't need to violate neutrality, which lowers relations with the country.

A few strange things in the AI

<t> The AI acts sometimes a strange way....<br/>
In detailed battle, as russian, my cavalry charged and captured a french supply caisson, and I had an unexpected succes: it told me that Napoleon had been killed. Putting a general with a supply is suicide. Generals stacking might be improved.<br ...

RE: Corfu

Well, Corfu is not the smaller province in the game: it is larger than Gibraltar. It changed hands many times at this time: from Venitian to French in 1997, Russian between 1799 and 1807, French again till 1814, then British, and it finally became part of Greece in 1864.

You can conquer Venice in your next war against Austria, then I suppose Illyria becomes conquerable. I never had problems in conquering Venice.

RE: Some rather strange territorial concessions...

You should be allowed to give a protectorate to someone else or transfer protectorship.
It would not be strange, for example, if France transfered it's protectorship to Russia, although Moscou is far away from Amsterdam.

Russo spanish war

<t> I played 1805 as France. Won at Austerlitz and Vienna, so Austria surrendered, and Russia accepted a dease fire. Remained at war with England and Sweeden, which was not difficult as they sent only a few troops easily beaten. But Spain remained at war with all four starting powers. Austria did ...

<t> In the data directory, you've got a commander.txt file, which you can edit with the notepad. You can replace names. Just do a back up before trying. After the province, you've init, rank and so on. You can also change nationality. I made Bernadotte sweedish, replced Jourdan with Eugene. Napoleon ...

RE: surrenders

<t> I bagan another game as Prussia. I waited a few months for my army to be ready, and declared war against France, although Austria/Russia did not want to ally with me. France soon collapsed, and had to cede provinces to me Prussia, to Austria, England, Russia and Sweeden. Now France is a rather ...

RE: Creating Poland

How do you do that ? I own these provinces, they seem as French as Ile de France. No option in the diplomatic menu, no option by right click on the province. And I don't see it in the manual. Page 52, it says that you may liberate a protector, but not create one with your own orovinces.

Creating Poland

As France, I own most polish provinces. They are considered french. How can I create a state of Poland, and give it my polish province. And keep Poland as a protectorate, of course.

Stronger or weaker powers

<t> On the first screen, when you begin a game, you can set a country as stronger or weaker.<br/>
When you choose stronger, does it mean that it's easier to play because the country has more strength and troops, or does it mean that it is for stronger players, and thus the country is harder to play ...

Reorganizing too long

<t> I started 1805 scenarion as France. I began with reorganizing of Grande armee. Putting generals in command, changing division allocations. And gave movement orders. In the first month, no corps moved, and most of the generals did not take their command.<br/>
I restarted again, without giving ...

<t> You're wright, and I'm not able to read a list to the last item. I had to choose first to negociate surrender, which is at the bottom of the list. When I choose this clause first, I effectively get the total diplomatic points of the other clauses I choose.<br/>
I took one province from Austria ...

How do you know the price in victory points of the peace conditions you propose your enemy who wants to surrender ?
Prussia wants to surrender, I have 5500 points, but can obtain nothing serious.

Anyway, if you take out the supply from San Francisco to Pearl Harbour, I suppose Denver will send it's supplies to San Francisco, so it functions as a reserve ?
