Dutch large corps max 15 strength

Hello,

While playing around with the 1940 scenario I noticed the Dutch Large Corps has a max strength of only 15. This seems to be the case for both the existing units and newly build ones. I can still split the max 15 strength large corps in a max 10 strength division and a max 20 strength small ...

No problem, I hope it's nothing too problematic.

Semi-destroyed airbase + destroyed GE fort is Allied

<t> Hello, <br/>
<br/>
I'm playing the grand campaign as Allies against the AI with the latest patch, 1.01.12, and have a semi-disappeared airbase. In my turn 5 I launched a 1/3 div landing in the hex NE of Olbia (Sardinia) combined with a para drop on Olbia itself, which succeeded. Now in turn 7 ...

Wounded pilots

<t> Does anybody know what happens with wounded and missing pilots? Is there a possibility they will return after a while or are they gone forever and is the distinction merely flavor. And if they do return, do they return to their original unit or in the reserve pool?<br/>

Interesting, I just checked my CV air units abroad CV Saratoga, who have been on 100% training since start of war in San Diego (it's Nov 1942 now, in DaBabes scen). VF with F4F-4s do not have much plane fatigue, all under 10 (0-9, median ...

Thanks Michaelm, that`s what I wanted to know. I guess occasional unloading it is then (until the code is executed).

RE: CV aircraft fatigue

<t> Yeah, but in land based units the planes seem to get repaired during maintenance occasionally. I just tested with one of my carrier DB squadrons, it was stood down for a couple of turns with the carrier docked in port, but plane fatigue was not reduced. I then transferred the squadron to ...

RE: CV aircraft fatigue

<t> So how do you get the plane fatigued reduced for carrier planes. I have some CVs disbanded in port, some docked, all planes stood down, but I have not seen a reduction in plane fatigue over a couple of turns, no planes are being placed in maintenance status. Do I have to unload all the carrier ...

RE: CV aircraft fatigue

<t> I'm not training new pilots on the carriers, just put the planes on training in hopes of increasing stats a bit still (pilots on carriers are mid-60s to low-70s primary skill mostly) or raising secondary skills. And pilot fatigue I can manage fine, it's the airplane fatigue that is getting very ...

CV aircraft fatigue

<t> I just noticed that the planes on some of my carriers are running up very high fatigue (some are 100+). Now my carriers have recently been involved in a fairly long campaign, little fighting but long time on post, and since their return to port the squadrons have been training 100% (carriers ...

Building units to full strength

<t> I've started my first full campaign in AE as Allies. I noted I have quite a few units that are far below their TOE and was wondering where to best send them to have them build strength. I vaguely recall reading that units can draw replacements from all bases that have enough supplies and are ...

RE: Question for Dutch-speaking forum members

Yeah, "veelvraat" indeed means "eats a lot" or "glutton". It's the sorta thing I'd shout at my brother, not exactly the name I'd give to my ship. But then, I wouldn't put it past the Dutch to give silly names to their ships. Silly people they are.

LCU fatigue + China questions

<t> Hello, great game, very impressive. <br/>
<br/>
I'm working on the (rather overwhelming) first turn, and had a couple of questions after trying to organise China. <br/>
<br/>
1) LCU fatigue - In the manual it says tired and mostly disabled units will start losing people. Quite a few Chinese ...

RE: Small Arms of WWII: What Were the Best?

<t> Oh, I agree that aimed, single shot fire is theoretically better, but it seems quite hard to achieve in full blown combat.&nbsp; From what I gather, in WWII and Vietnam it was more an issue of shooting in the general direction of the enemy.&nbsp; This is obvious if you look at how little of the ...

RE: Small Arms of WWII: What Were the Best?

<t> In training lies the differences, yes, but you have to keep in mind that some weapons are designed with certain types of training/doctrines in mind.&nbsp; A westerner would prefer the M16 range of weapons, because western armies are generally composed of well trained soldiers, and we would like ...

Probably a stupid question

<t> Looked around for this but never found a good answer. <br/>

When I check a ships details, it has a 'mount' line. In the manual it sais that the 'mount' number is the maximum number of weapons that ship can carry. Now I seem to have ships that that have more weapons then they can carry ...
