RE: surviving the heavies

<t> I think possible fixes to the problem of uber bombers could be:<br/>
<br/>
1) Higher ratio of damaged planes and more time to fix 4Es given their logistic complexity<br/>
<br/>
2) Each 4E need 2 point of A/C support. Higher penalties for overstacking. Each 4E destoyed gives 2 victory points ...

RE: Unplayable

I'm from Italy [;)]. I chose this nickname because I served 6 years as an officer in the Lagunari "Serenissima" Regiment.

RE: Unplayable

<t> Hoepner,<br/>
<br/>
I am enjoying this AAR, but I am noticing your war in the pacific resembles more and more "12 O'Clock high, bombing the h@ll out of the Japs" [X(]. <br/>
<br/>
Your opponent is just steamrolling you in the beginning of '43 with 1500 4e planes, which is gamey: not much ...

RE: The first carriers battle

<t> In reality, by reading GH AAR, it's none of the 3. And it's not that difficult to guess without peeking in his AAR...have you been attacked by any Val[;)]? <br/>
<br/>
Anyway, when the talking is too much it gets boring. Good luck to you for the game, but now I am definitely a Jap fanboy for ...

RE: The first carriers battle

<t> The Nagumo analogy has not much sense here. These variation and chances are included in variables like abilities of TF commanders, chance of critical hits and so on. Nagumo's mistake was a bad operational judgement of the situation.<br/>
<br/>
If GH left vals on training, zeros on naval attack ...

RE: The first carriers battle

<t> This is when this game really differs from reality.<br/>
<br/>
What happened --> he clicked the wrong button [:(]<br/>
<br/>
Equivalent in real war--> very difficult to find. [&:]<br/>
<br/>
Bottom line: if you're interested in winning --> no redo.<br/>
<br/>
If you're interested in a ...

RE: Yellow Angels in China

General Hoepner,

just to let you know there is another Italian following this AAR and enjoying very much. It's fun to read both yours and your opponent's AAR[:D]

RE: Looking for a Jap player

I can give you a game, but prefer sub doctrine off and jap commitment 120%, US 100% as the game is heavily in US favour in the long run.

RE: PBEM Cheating

<t> Thanks Marshall.<br/>
<br/>
I have been checking the forum for several months and I appreciate the effort you're putting in to give us a great game. It's difficult to please people when porting to PC one of the best boardgames ever made. Pls don't rush it and give us a classic. I'll wait what ...

PBEM Cheating

Will the game have any programming feature able to limit/prevent cheating in PBEM?
I mean things like pre-generated dice rolls or possibility to have a person acting as a "game master"...
