RE: First WiTE Multi-player Tournament

Hi guys,

I am sorry, but I currently simply lack the time to keep playing and it looks like this will not change for some weeks to come.

Sorry to have delayed you :(

RE: First WiTE Multi-player Tournament

I will be only able to start this one during the weekend, in addition I want to play the first 2 turns vs myself first since I have never played that scenario before. So the rest still have some time to catch up ;)

RE: Next patch

Looks good, is there a fix for the too high (basically random it seems) port repair rates, too?

And those counterattacks will provide guards units, IIRC even in the fairly short RtL PBEM I got 4 guards units in the end.

Yes, I like using 3 RR units in the south, too, 1 towards/from Odessa and 2 at a line further north.

RE: How realistic is this?

I am currently not reading all of the AARs, but have the Germans managed to take Leningrad from a determined defender (including weakening other fronts as the Germans have to)?

RE: How realistic is this?

Personally I am in the swamps/heavy woods should cost more MPs for mech/armor camp here as well, this has the additional benefit of making the supplies getting through this terrain more expensive, too.

RE: First WiTE Multi-player Tournament

Just have send T18 for 2b to GFelz, no idea about the score yet, but the brave defenders of the Rodina have kept the facsist invaders out of Novgorod and Leningrad ;)

2a is at T14 now.

RE: German Folly 2ndAcr (GE) vs Tullius (Reds)

<t> Are you using 2 RR units on one line in the south? Otherwise supply will be a very huge issue there I think.<br/>
<br/>
Personally I am a friend of a large southern focus, too, and while I agree about neglecting Moscow I would still throw everything at Leningrad since I think a winter without ...

RE: Turn One -- Troops in Riga

<t> You have limited shipping capacity (related to your ports IIRC).<br/>
<br/>
And 1 damage to the port is actually enough to open up the shipping lane to Riga, but you need more damage if you want it to stay open. Currently there seems to be a bug that lets port repair up to 20%+ each turn, so ...

<r> As I said, I am not sure about the Soviet MPs down there, but I think the pocket is vulnerable there:<br/>

RE: Rate these Axis openings 1-10

I think there was even some risk that the Lvov pocket could have been broken way in the south (no ZOC on the rough there). And I think bombing the Soviet port and shipping 2 infantry divisions to Riga might have given you some additional punch there, too.

RE: Airfield attacks, Axis turn 1

Attacking long range first might lead to higher losses due to not having taken out the fighters at the bases on the way there, but I have never run any tests to confirm if this is really the case.

Has anybody taken a closer look at this?

RE: Airfield attacks, Axis turn 1

I basically agree, but in the south there are some hexes where ground support will be useful and personally I prefer to have some bombers left for them rather than destroying another 100 Soviet planes.

RE: Waiting for the spring miracle... Oleg (Sov) vs Senno (Axis), NO Senno

IIRC I had some AGC armor operating to the south of Zhitomir in the game vs. Miller and personally I really liked the added punch they provided in the south, but progress in the center itself was fairly slow due to it.
