the way Helpless´ bombers acted from the start on would be a real dream later on for me when the bombers will go after the easy targets instead of killing themself against a CV cap. the biggest difference in air vs naval targets is that Helpless has gotten his planes in the air since the start while I´m happy if I´m having a strike now and then.
4Es are perfect for that role, real losses were 1 Zero and 1 Oscar A2A lost against the B17 while no B17 was lost.

An Emily spotted a convoy South of the Fidjis, though without a heading. Don´t know if it really has a CV in it. Those CA CA CA CV CA CV spottings often are only 5 AKs. Noumea finally had enough fuel and the surface combat TF sortied with the KB following it.
