Quick Questions Thread

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

This unit cannot be motorized any further.
(i.e. within these historical TOEs)

You can replace the smaller Truck with a larger capacity truck, but it will not have a major impact.

All of these LCUs are attached to Aragon or levant Hqs yet not getting enough guidance. Why might this be?

I'm still quite new to war games. I am reading a great ARR by RangerJoe, and in it, (s)he mentions "Devices".

But, what is a device? why is that important? when I look at a unit car, the list of "squads", is that what a device is?

thanks :)

I took out the wagons and put in trucks but still not enough. How bad would it be to switch the support squads with more trucks?
You can add captured devices including trucks and wagons to the unit.

When you play Nationalists, you have a hard time with motorized units because they use fuel which is scarce and tends to stay at the ports. The Republicans have more tankers so they can haul more fuel in but they still can have issues with fuel. Horse powered devices use no fuel but more supplies.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

Devices are guns, vehicles, tanks, mortars (etc.) ... and squads. Everything that makes up a LCU (land combar unit 8-) ).
