Change History
V1.04.19 – 9th June 2026
New Features and Rule Changes
- “New editor” now feature complete:
- Redesigned scenario / nation / leader / aircraft / ground / location / weather / OB views with collapsible sections, color inputs, a popup event-text editor, and a tabbed weather view.
- CSV import/export for Air Profiles, Ground Types, Nations, Events, Locations, Units, and Orders of Battle, with data-integrity validation and reporting.
- Editor sections (tabs) are color coded to indicate files that are generic, semi-generic, or scenario specific, and items that will not be saved off are greyed out to show this:
Purple stripe – semi-generic files, some data may be edited/saved only when generic data is loaded, and other data may be edited/saved only when a scenario is loaded. CSV is coded purple as both generic and scenario data can be exported/imported.
No stripe – scenario specific, can only be edited/saved off when a scenario is loaded.- The greater than symbol (>) indicates a link to the data shown. For example, the > next to Franz Halder in the detail for OKH in the unit tab, will open the leader tab and take you to the data for Franz Halder.
- Can use right mouse-click and/or back button to back-up through current session actions.
- Per-nation production-pool editing in EditAircraft, EditGround, and EditNation, plus a per-player production-pool summary in EditScenario.
- Pilot Pool table editing ported into the new editor.
- Event Group & Sort by tag, and location grouping by nation and type, in the new editor.
- Toggle for map art visibility, sync-map-text, and city-owner change in EditLocationView.
- Weather-fronts tab, edit-origin/target prompts, and movement-cost/river-cost tables in EditWeatherView.
- In the CSV tab, new unified Scenario Validator that combines the old scenario-consistency check and CSV data validation into a single report.
- Unified tag-list editing across units, events, and leaders, with clearer add and remove (×) controls.
- Leader tagging now works just like unit tagging — tag leaders from the leader page or the Tags editor.
- In the unit tab, new "Sub To" (subordinate to) control lets you fix units that point at empty/invalid unit slots.
- Factories can now be edited in Generic Data, with a tooltip showing the factory's online/delay date.
- Additional Editor Improvements:
- DPI scaling for legacy map-edit panels.
- Lazy on-demand map-font glyph loading in the editor.
- Leaders can now be selected as objects in the event editor.
- Added new game event to enable/disable a leader (a disabled leader automatically vacates his command and stays out of the leader pool).
- Unit Detail and TOE displays now sort equipment by class and a curated ground-type order (armored cars sit next to AFVs).
- Ground Element Map now lists ground types in the same curated order as the production screen.
- Server upload errors now distinguish a transient read failure from genuine out-of-memory, with separate user-visible codes.
- Rule Clarification: This chart shows which units have ground elements that suffer disruption at the start of combat due to attacking across a river hex side:
Non-motorized-----------No--------------------Disruption-----------------Disruption--------------N/A
Motorized-----------------No--------------------Disruption-----------------Disruption--------------N/A
Non-motorized-----------Yes-------------------No Disruption-------------No Disruption----------No Disruption
Motorized-----------------Yes-------------------No Disruption-------------Disruption--------------Disruption
- Updated the Living Manual.pdf file in the \Manuals folder. This is up to date with changes through game version 1.04.19.
- Fixed artillery bombardment phase of ground combat so that ground elements that are disrupted before the phase begins will not fire during the bombardment phase.
- Fixed air group counter text color in TB boxes.
- Fixed it so supply distribution skips the slot 0 depot during the freight phase.
- Fixed engine crash from out-of-memory or uninitialized texture coordinates in font rendering.
- Fixed font style and spacing in the Pilot Pools section.
- Corrected "Withdraw" label (previously "Widraw").
- Corrected "multiplayer" in server save messages (previously "mutiplayer").
- Production screen now transitions through the map before opening (editor).
- Restored attack disruption when non-motorized attacking across unfrozen minor rivers (a regression since 1.04.14 that affected non-motorized units).
- German 1944 Fortress Cannons now receive the correct anti-tank casualty protection instead of taking full losses.
- Fixed long unit names and the "Manpower (Refit)" header overlapping other columns on the Ground Element Map.
- Frozen rivers are now visible on the map when the ground-weather display is on — previously the frozen-river graphic blended into the snow and effectively disappeared.
- Frozen rivers now take on their frozen look at the correct ice level (matching when freezing actually affects crossing), and impassable rivers no longer appear frozen too early.
- Fixed ground-weather terrain art being missing the first time the ground-weather display was enabled — it no longer needs a second toggle to appear.
