Thanks for this! I will do pass on all existing scenarios soon, I´m currently trying to finish a scenario and are play testing it now.

Short update:
I have a new scenario and new versions of all existing scenarios ready, BUT Steam Workshop is currently broken for CMO (https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopic.php?p=5289699) and people cant update their uploaded scenarios.

I really want to keep Steam and Forum in sync for my own sanity. Hopefully they fix it soon, in the mean time I suggest anyone who has the same problem will post in the thread.

For whom the bell tolls

Baltic states represent a vital and vulnerable eastern flank whose defence is an ultimate test of alliance credibility and collective deterrence against external aggression. Russia on the other hand views the region as a critical strategic buffer zone and major theater of friction where reclaiming regional dominance and breaking Western military encirclement remain primary geopolitical objectives.

For the third year running since the end of war in Ukraine Russia and Belarus are starting their military exercises near the Baltic countries eastern border. This year the war games are even larger and more complex than before.

Take command of combined Baltic defence operation Baltic Sentinel, in your command you have a multi-domain deterrence force consisting of Baltics Air Policing (BAP) mission, integrated Baltic radar and air defense network, multinational force of attack helicopters and long range fires. Your orders are to monitor the exercises and keep your forces ready and alert to show NATO is ready for anything.

Can the fragment alliance still guarantee the Baltics safety? The battlefield awaits your orders.

Addtional note: I have updates for all existing scenarios ready, but I cant release them before Steam Workshop integration is fixed with CMO Scenario Editor. I want to keep forums and Steam in sync.

Second note: I´ve reorganized the Zip-file so that shows the play order of the scenarios.

Steam Workshop has now been fixed, so released updates to all existing scenarios except the latest "For whom the bell tolls".
All scenarios now require db518, its available in Steam MP Beta branch OR https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopic.php?t=418432, if this causes you hardship I ve left rel5 zip for posterity.

@Nikel since you deserve answers to all your notes due to your hard work, I´ve attached a PDF, I didnt have any other easy way to transfer it from my Google Drive to this forum. If the text is strikken through ie. line over the text it means it has been fixed or handled in some way in the latest update.

Finally I can test your scenarios in the last build


In the sky with diamonds v1.2 tested on B1900.23


The evaluation is a major victory with 70 points, however the message at the end considers it a lost because of the damage caused?


More stuff detected:


- Typos: Description: "th" and "entrirely" in "th mining town of Barentsburg, almost entrirely"

- Unknown RHIBs are green in Svalbard when detected.

- Svalbard squad 2 eliminated 2 times in the SL below, should not be 1 and 2?

- "SHAHED DRONES CONFIRMED INBOUND SM" is repeated multiple times when you are fighting them in Guyana, this is the most annoying problem, constant interruption and zoom out in the most important part of the scenario

- Kilo sub detected. Nothing happens if you follow it with sonobuoys as you are told, or if you sink it.

- There are 3 Soyouz structures in Guyana. Part of it was destroyed this year, so before the scenario time. Just in case you want to change something.

- Crotale, no directors though they will eventually fire but losing important time. I do not remember this problem before. Also I had not to change the WRA, I guess the db has changed.

- KV Svalbard has 2 helos, it has 1 but that cannot deploy sonobuoys (explained below) and the loadout of the other is cargo, so not ASW helos.

- Seahawks in Norwegian ships, they are different versions, one with generic NATO sonobuoy receiver and can deploy sonobuoys, in the other the Comms are different.

Db id 6478 works

Db id 6683 does not work

- The C-Dome bought for the French Warship, but they are not very friends of the Israelis, I asked for that

- Cayanne and Svalbard airports, I meant in this part of the OoB.

In a save retested the battle vs the Shaheds in Guyana, and this happened:


When the Shaheds destroy or damage Ariane 6, this message appears.

This is what I meant with "the message was of a land infiltration, not Shaheds", still happens is v1.2

The messages should be different depending on who destroy the Ariane 6, or if only one should be more generic on who destroyed it.

In v1.2 it meant the end of the scenario, however at the same time this message also appeared. But it did not appear when I the Ariane 6 was not destroyed.

I am still standing v1.4, tested on B1900.23


Tested 2 times:

The first ended in defeat, 48 points, average evaluation. The sealift and all the cargo was sunk and all went South after that. SL and losses and expenditures below are from this first test.

The second, replayed from a save previous to this sinking, the sealift was hidden in port, destroyed some red ACs and did not lose as many, and ended in a success, minor victory with 74 points.




Some stuff noticed for you to consider:


- Description: the two bugs are gone, that text can be removed safely now. Also consider removing CMO build and db version as it is outdated.

- Briefing: "Joint Support: Swedish Saab 340 AEW&C (Perämeri)" but its is a GlobalEye AEW G6000?

- Marienham is Marieham? Both in the messages and in the map.

- F-18s for Sweden option should be after Alert Kaliningrad activity message? Right now is before.

- Some of the naval infantry cannot be transported now. The mass has changed.

- Coastal Jaegers mission. There is no message and no points when they arrive to Mariehamn airport. I think it is because they are not considered Marines.

- RIM-162B ESSM no directors, but will eventually fire, seems the same case than the Crotale.

- Scenario options "Detailed gun fire-control" and "ASCM terrain following restriction", why not ticked?

- Sealift loss is counted 2 times. See SL below.

- Russians may attack neutral vessels. It was a Kayak from Okhotnik drone.

- Felons not taking off is related with the HKI NFZ, if you inactivate it, the flightplan for them is generated and they will take off. CMO bug?

- The russians are using some bombers are escorts to other bombers. I guess this is wrong.

Really difficult scenario with the given assets, but all are the first time. A replay is needed

- Typos: Description: "alot"


- Briefing:

Units orders is more OoB than orders, except for the ISR.

LATVIA COMMAND:

"Aviation: French EC665 Tigers deployed to dispersed FOBs." There is only one FOB in Latvia and with Gazelle helos that are red.

Lielvārde AB: there are algo red Gazelle helos here. There is no time in the scenario for them to be ready. If you try them to take off, they will land immediately and need 6 h.

LITHUANIA COMMAND:

Šiauliai AB: there are Bayraktar drones from Azerbaijan, should they be Turkish or another NATO country?


- SA Introduction. 2 of 6 LATVIA. Rukla Garrison. "Situated in central Lithuania".

- Rename HIMARS battery in Latvia so that the 3 HIMARS in the scenario appear together in the OoB window.

- Heliport in Panzerbrigade 45 base has no name, the rest have.

- HIMARS ordered to attack S-400, I attacked several SAM units in the RF, however not sure what type of SAMs they were. Looking at the Red side losses I was wrong

- Land movement of HIMARS, change to direct for NATO side. You did this for I am still standing if you remember.

- Too few F-35s for the ADs protecting the invasion forces, only could attack the ones in Estonia. And the HIMARS are too slow and distant to engage the rest in Latvia and Lithuania. I guess you need to start to move them when the scenario start, should you be ordered to do it?

- The attack helos in Latvia and Lithuania suffered heavy casualties because they had to engage alone the invasion forces, without the F-35s help.

- Helos are easy targets for enemy ACs even at low altitude. Red ACs dominate completely the air space.

- There are many transport helos in the scenario, but for no use?

- The few surviving helos need a lot of time to rearm. There is no time for a 2nd attack. I think you are told so in one of the messages.

- The red gazelles is a strange problem. Opened the scenario in the editor and they were green. Closed CMO, restarted and red again even in the editor. Could it be related with a scenario db update?

- There are no points for destroying S-400 units. The best to detect them are the F-35s.

- Estonia and Latvia HIMARS have no enough time to be on range of the land invasion forces even though you start moving them when the scenario begins. Only the Lithuanian, however the contact of the red targets may be gone when it arrives.

Just quickly to your latest post (I will do proper fixes and comments bit later based on all your test reports).

The Gazelles indeed mystify me, I had that from the start but at least for me they were working normally while showing red.

S400 I guess I could add points for them, although they are not main targets exactly.

What I do with HIMARS is that I dont move them, I get my F-35s into Estonia and Lithuania as fast as possible, their radars can pinpoint the S400 sites closest to the border and I fire two HIMARS LR missiles each, usually I can kill 3 S400s that cause the most problems for the helicopters. After this F-35s focus on killing the mobile SAM systems embedded in to the 4 armored invading spearheads to give Helicopters chance to decimate them.

I did have some issues during development where those mobile SAMs would not actually fire on helicopters even if left intact, cant remember if I got it fixed, I hope I did.

- S-400, you are told to engage them with ATACMS. And in the description:

In this scenario you gain points when:

You destroy your assigned targets (more points)
You destroy targets of opportunity (less points)

- F-35s. Yes. That is what I do but only in Estonia, no time or weapons for more. There are 5 invasion groups full of ADs. The StormBreakers are intercepted not only by their ADs, also by red ACs missiles. Perhaps it is related with the No Comms that affect the missiles?

Indeed you fixed what you comment, the helos are destroyed because the ADs range is longer than the helos attack weapons.

I tried deleting the Gazelle helos and adding 2 new ones and the problem persists.

The same with the older version of the Gazelle cannon.

Updated to db v519 and is the same.

With respect to your answers to the first testing of this scenario:

- Troops and material embarked add a lot of flavor and realism, if you sink them and look at the Red side losses

- ASCM and terrain indeed works and the survivability of ships increases. Visbys however are doomed I think, like the Carlskrona, no irregular coastline nearby for them to hide.



I had to replay it from saves several times to finally get the victory screen. Always seemed that I was winning, but nope.

The victory happened very late, when the invasion force was just arriving to the coast of Gotland!

I managed to sink most of the russian ships except the invasion force itself

This created a strange situation, victory message when the landing ships are still intact and arriving to destination.

My fault of course, for not sinking them before. 3 reasons, not enough ASh missiles, engage opportunities ON and the sub that was going to engage them was sunk.


Reporting the victory result: Mayor victory with 82 points. Full scoring log attached.

Stuff noticed:


- Typos: Description: "airforce" and "Airforce".

- Bad weather, however the 2 weather options in the scenario features are not ticked.

- Several SMs appear with a smaller font: "Naval Survivability", "INTEL UPDATE: ELINT DETECTION", "INTEL UPDATE: ANTI-SURFACE WARFARE"(ASuW)," "INTEL UPDATE: LIAISON ADVISORY", also the defeat and victory SMs.

- "TARGET AREA 02: RONNEBY (F 17 AIR BASE)" in "*** FLASH FLASH FLASH *** STATE OF WAR CONFIRMED" SM. Where is this air base?

- Still seems to me that the Su-24s mission to Gotland is suicidal.

- Not enough Ash missiles, there are too many Red side ships. 0 Gungnirs at the ABs magazines with Gripens. For some reason at the end could reload 1 of them in each of the ABs.

- Tp 45 in Visby Airport magazine?

- Red side shot down the civilian Boeing. But -3 points are assigned to the Blue side.
