CTDs after installing 4.0.1

Actuall my crash happens like this.

1. Start New Campaign
2. Check Intel, etc.
3. Select Loadout
4. Fly Mission
5. Finish Mission
6. Check intel, etc
7. Select Loadout
8. Start Mission, but it crasshes to desktop before it actually flies mission.
9. Restart game
10.Start Campaign where I left off
11.start at #2 above.

Mine also appeared to follow the same pattern, but I just tried to prove it by starting a mission, letting 60 seconds elapse, ending the mission from the menu and starting another. Result - 5 missions with no CTDs. The differences between these missions and the ones where I had CTDs on subsequent missions are that I didn't engage anything and didn't land. I'm not sure of that's any help.

Help ! Everytime I start my current campaign, the game CTD 1-5 mins into the scenario. Never had any trouble before the patch. Attached my err.log file.

Thought I'd let you all know that Milo is working on this. I have tried a new build which seems to stop the CTD. I was able to play a dozen missions or so with no isues. Hopefully he can get this video isue resolved and get something new out to us shortly.

Another one ... cut way back on the number of ships ... CTD while in F3 view mode when ship blew up.

I experienced a great one last night. Unfortunately I don’t have the errlog.txt on me right now but I thought I’d report it anyway. I was in F3 mode observing a battle raging between the Hyperion CV group and two enemy CA and a DD. When the CV Hyperion fired it’s starboard PDB the game froze so solid that even CTRL+ALT+DEL couldn’t break me free. Had to reset my whole system. After that I think I’m going to sit this one out until the next patch!

We do have a new build from John that is in testing and looking good. If testing continues to confirm that this fixes the occasional CTD issues, we will do our best to get it out to you all on Monday.
