RE: Dawn Patrol <sigh>

<r> One of my favorite tactics in DP is to split one of the boats away from the main group and light it up like a Christmas tree.&nbsp; Find the enemy, take a fix and bearing, launch my birds, go dark, hope to god they didn't get a good enough fix and vector the remainder in from a completely ...

RE: Community server set up at HarpGamer for multi-player use

<t> Well, I hate to say it, but I'm running a 2Ghz Pentium-M with 2GB of PC2-4200 DDR2 and a 2GB paging file, and the thing is STILL chugging like I'm asking it to run Quake IV on a TRS-80.<br/>

RE: Community server set up at HarpGamer for multi-player use

Okay...back to its old tricks again......

I took out two of your patrol boats, got a victory message, then elected to keep playing...then the "hangs" started again.

I'm still having an inordinately hard time connecting and STAYING connected.

EDIT: Okay, maybe some other time. It is completely unplayable...and NOW keeps disconnecting me.

RE: Bug Report: ECM nullifies BOL weapons

<t> I have found Prowlers absolutely overpowered. Fly one inside a SAM umbrella and watch the enemy go nuts wasting SAMs trying to shoot it down. Eventually they get it, but not until they've wasted a few hundred thou' worth of SAMs.<br/>

RE: Something is really wrong with missile guidance

<t> I've been wondering about the behavior of the Sparrow IIIs as well. I know you have to be aligned with the target or the missiles lose guidance, but they're missing WAY too often even when you DO keep the lock.<br/>

RE: Looking for people with badass monitor and high resolutions

I'm currently running 1920x1200, if that qualifies.

Personally, though - I think I'd be happy with 1680x1050 - I like being able to click off-screen to hit up FAS or websites during exceptionally long scenarios.

RE: Guns do not fire all ammo when ordered to do so

Wouldn't this also be a rate of fire issue as well?&nbsp; I know when I've done one of my fuel-tank strafing runs, occasionally I've needed to make more than one pass to empty the cannon.

RE: OK, what am I doing stupid here?

I actually like working with a limit - especially when AIM-54s come into the mix. Having to start equipping F-14s with Sparrows kind of reduces their usefulness over F/A-18s and the like, due to the fact that the Hornets have a better evasion chance.

Mike, that's how I finally was able to get the Eagle to toast the fuel farm, I had to manually redirect it over the site.

RE: Question on License Terms - Multiple Computers

<t> I believe the reason it's called a EULA is because it specifies that you're the End User.<br/>

The underlying mechanics of that term would mean you could install a EULA-protected program on as many systems as you wanted so long as you were the sole owner and operator of them and you ...
