RE: Spain and Turkey...and Greece?

<t> Years ago, I proposed a rule to the Yahoo groups Wif forum that allowed for Greece to be aligned to the Major Power that conquered and ceded European Turkey (Istanbul/Constantinople) to Greece, similar to Spain aligning with the Axis Major Power that conquers and ceded Gibraltar.<br/>

How to delete saved games

See subject. I searched the Player's Manual and Rules as Coded and could not find how to delete a saved game.

I really botched a Global War set up and first turn, and I don't want to see it anymore. [:@]

Thanks.

RE: World in Flames v1.03 Update now Available!

<t> I am getting my disk today, then the game is going onto my computer. Do I have to separately download updates 1.01, 1.02, and 1.03 or just 1.03? Thanks.<br/>

I'm barely computer literate, only a casual user of computers, if the question above is a bit dopey.<br/>

RE: Still Waiting

<t> Ordered game and maps on Thursday the 14th, hopefully the box will get to the Midwest next week. Not going to download, I don't have four plus hours to sit at my computer right now, and besides, I expect to get a new machine next week anyway. I will just wait for the DVD. <br/>

RE: Need Help? Ask The Semi-Experts

<t> I am going to buy this game but I have a question first:<br/>
<br/>
I am probably going to get a new computer possibly by Christmas, and I don't want to wait until then to buy Wif. So it will still be on my old machine. Is the game usable on more than one machine? If not, how will I transfer ...

RE: Unit Descriptions: Air, Naval, Land

<t> Hey Jmm,<br/>
<br/>
I also forgot there was the Celere division named after Testa di Ferro. I haven't studied this material in a long while. So it does indeed look like the wif mot corps is just an extension of the then-existing Italian division, based on wif naming other corps after what were ...

RE: Unit Descriptions: Air, Naval, Land

<t> Of course, I forgot about the Duca d'Aosta! Father of the Duke of Aosta who ended up as Viceroy of Africa Orientale. The corps is probably named after the WWI general. He was the more recent Emanuele Filiberto and no doubt better known. How archaic would it have been to name a unit after someone ...

RE: Unit Descriptions: Air, Naval, Land

<t> Just a note concerning Two Italian units:<br/>
<br/>
The Eug Filiberto corps was printed incorrectly in the original game. I believe this corps is supposed to be named after a renaissance era Duke of Savoy and military hero, Emanuele Filiberto, who led King Philip II of Spain's army to victory ...

RE: OT Most Beautiful Ships of WWII

For the second group, I like all three.&nbsp; It's difficult to pick one.&nbsp; I was really a Yamato fan as a kid, I think it was the first ship model I built.&nbsp; I'll go with Iowa for the second group.

RN Vittorio Veneto.&nbsp; Without a doubt.&nbsp; Not that the others are shabby, not at all.&nbsp; We're just talking personal preference here.

RE: Unit Descriptions: Air, Naval, Land

On the Milan and Napoli Militia writeups, first paragraph, Carabineri is incorrectly spelled. Only one "r" at the end. "Carabinieri", not "Carabinierri".

RE: Ports on map

<t> Never had trouble with Batavia, Patrice. I think on the Wif maps, I'm taking how the blue sea zone dividing line connects with a port or hex too literally. On the Wif maps, the blue lines connect directly to the ports; on the Matrix Wif maps, some stop short. No big deal, still love the new maps ...

Ports on map

<t> <br/>
Just a question to whomever can answer:<br/>
<br/>
I've been looking at screenshots from the map for Matrix Wif and noticed some differences from paper Wif regarding placement of ports.<br/>
<br/>
For example, on the old Wif Pacific map, Guadalcanal is a minor port on the Coral Sea ...

Partisans

Just noticed on all the map screenshots, there is no "partisan fist" and number for any minor countries or major powers. I presume they appear if you decide to play with that option? Or do they stay on the map at all times like on the WIFFE maps?
