RE: Newbie question about force projection.

<t> Well, I've got a couple of squadrons of AM62's at each set for escort - 20% CAP - and max range. Is there a correlation between escorts and LB that needs to be addressed?<br/>
<br/>
I understand the weather, and that's knocked me out sometimes.....<br/>
Is it better to lower the range of LB's ...

Newbis question about force projection.

<t> Playing my second campaign v. the Allied AI. One issue that vexes me is force projection and/or ignoring of orders. Here's what I mean. In the South Pacific campaign starting in 5/42, I've captured PM, Lunga, and GG. I've built them all up into fortresses with the first two at level 5 airfields ...

Why are my AK' & AP's suddenly

loading fractionally? The tankers are fine, but convoy TF I create are evenly splitting about 1/3 of their capacity and heading out? Also, I know how to replenish fuel at sea, but came you restock ammo at sea as well?
Thanks in advance

RE: Newbie question about the patch

Thanks Terminus.....been enjoying your comments on Speedy's AAR against Faber. I've learned alot reading those reports.

One more question , where should the patch be located....in the general WitP folder, or in the patched folder?

Thanks.....Parker

Newbie question about the patch

<t> Is the comprehensive patch all I need?<br/>
<br/>
I downloaded it into my Witp folder....but do I need to drop it into the PATCHES folder?<br/>
<br/>
And finally, the patch is in a .zip format....once I drop it into the correct folder, do I need to open and run it?<br/>
<br/>
Thanks for ...

Newbie question about game scenarios

<t> I'm learning the game by playing my first scenario (Guadalcanal). I assumed it ended on the given date, but I've got reinforcements scheduled far after the end date. Is that just a historical date given for the battle, or will the game stop on 2/7/42? Thanks.....<br/>

Playing my first campaign....quick questions

<t> Started my first campaign 5 days after purchase and I think I've got the allies on the run at Guadalcanal. Chased the Enterprise down north of Espirirtu Santo and sunk her but got a little too extened and both of my fleet carriers are a bit dinged. Don't have my laptop with me (which contains ...

Rookie one week in with some questions....

<t> I've been playing for a few days and it hasn't been too bad getting up and running. Brilliant game. I've been through the tutuorial and read most of the manual, but thought you guys could help better. I'm playing as the Japanese in the Guadalcanal campaign. A few things....<br/>

Really stupid rookie question

<t> Just got the CD from my UPS guy. I am not embarrassed to say I was waiting at the end of the driveway. My dumb questions are as follows:<br/>
1. I can't find anywhere what verison of the game I have. Where do I find them? I'd hate to download updates I don't need.<br/>
<br/>
2. If I do need ...

RE: Absolute rookie needs help

<t> Thanks for all the info. I'm fascinated by playing the Japanese and avoiding the colossus errors that compounded their loss. To me the Japanese were like a talented but thin football team prone to giving up the big play (Midway, Bismark Sea, Turkey Shoot....etc) I'd like to stay somewhat ...

Absolute rookie needs help

<t> I'm actually still waiting for my copy to arrive. I have limited experience in strategic games (Panzers and Rising Sun) and they are nothing like this.....but I'm pretty geeked up about jumping into this one with both feet. I've ben all over the forums trying to pick up info while I wait for the ...
