RE: AE Naval and OOB Issues

DD-606 USS Coghlan, a Benson class DD, is missing from 1106i at least. I don't know if this has since been corrected.

She was commissioned on July 10, 1942, being built at Bethlehem in San Fran. Spend the whole war in the Pacific.

<t> The lack of deductive reasoning abilities amongst many posters here is nothing short of amazing. Torpedo accuracy is affected by the target's maximum speed, and the torpedo's speed. Therefore, merchies are easy targets, DDs, not so much so. It doesn't take a Neurosurgeon's ...

At least the IJN could produce a superior design, while cheating the treaties. The Hippers were 40% overweight and still outclassed by a legal New Orleans CA.

<t> I believe your USN Catalinas get radar in June '42. Possibly May. The increase in sub detection, for me at least, seemed pretty slight. Skills seem much more important. Good luck training your crappy patrol pilots up to competence in Naval Search/ASW skills! I've ...

Helps to fill out all those ill-equipped US AA regiments and battalions. Check your device pools on the information menu, pretty dramatic boost.

RE: AE's How many?

The C2 cargo vessels can convert to AEs, indeed the newer USN AEs were built on C2 hulls. You get quite a few, so you can really go to town if you want. Or you can convert some of your older ships to AKEs to boost the ability of small ports to rearm ships.

RE: Upgrade the Brooklyns or no for '42?

The 3"/50 is not a very potent weapon in game terms (sub surface attacks vividly demonstrate this), nor was it in real life. I'd take the extra AA any day, not to mention radar.

RE: Resources for allied player?

<t> There's a lot of resource production in Australia, pretty sure you don't need to worry about sending resources there. Pearl Harbor can use some resources for its industry, though - you can get them nearby at Hilo and Christmas Island if you want though. The Kiwis can use resources as well - if ...

RE: Sub troop loading question

<t> Don't know if this has been brought up, but I've noticed some bizarre refit times/requirements. Just hit April in my first game and noticed some weirdness: Barnegat AVDs require a size 5 shipyard and take 3 weeks to swap 4 .50 cals for 4 20mms. Same thing for the Bagley, McCall and Gridley DDs ...
