Yes and no.

There's no 'unlimber' option as such, but changing from column to line formation performs essentially the same function. I think you'll find that you can fire further than 3 hexes once you've done that.

I'd be interested in the answer to this too. I've had a couple of situations where it wasn't really apparent why my unit couldn't enter a particular area in line formation.
