RE: 1.01B Beta -> Much Improved!

Hey folks.  Here's a dumb question, but where do we download the 1.01B beta patch?

Thanks gents!  7 spaces is what I remembered from the boardgame.  The transport movement just threw me off.

RE: Creating depots on ships?

<t> Hey guys,<br/>
&nbsp;<br/>
Here's a stupid question.&nbsp; I've never played Britain in either the board game or computer version.&nbsp; How does the UK leap-frog units to North Africa if they need to disembark at the end of each land phase and ships only move three spaces per turn?&nbsp; I ...

RE: Repatriation of winning forces

<t> Wouldn't the easiest solution to this problem be to rewrite the code to move forces to the nearest home nation territory (i.e. not free state, conquered minor, or ceded territory)?<br/>
&nbsp;<br/>
If there's a way to allow forces to march out of the surrendering nation, that would be the best ...

RE: BUg and Suggestions (a start)

<t> Having enjoyed EiA for years, we never asked other players to leave the room while two opponents conducted a battle. I can't imagine a more sterile way to experience the game than to be deprived of a front seat as Napoleon takes Mack out to the woodshed. Or to sequester oneself in the livingroom ...

RE: Question about Free States

<t> Any free state with manpower can technically have forces in the form of garrison factors.&nbsp; The problem is that many don't have the money to buy a factor, so as their patron, you can give them enough $$$ to use their&nbsp;manpower to generate a single infantry garrison factor per turn.<br ...

RE: AI battle tactic selection

<t> I can't imagine how random picking works to one's advantage.&nbsp; By looking at the OPFOR corps and leader you can deduce several pieces of information about what tactics he won't pick.&nbsp; If the leader has a low STR rating, you can almost rule out Outflanks or Withdraws.&nbsp;<br/>

Turkish Undelight

<t> I played a game as the Turks last night and realized that they have a unique problem. Only their very expensive (relatively speaking), rare as hen's teeth, regular infantry may be detached to act as a garrison. They don't get militia and the feudal infantry can't be dropped off. This really ...

<t> Countries with money to burn might make Guard purchases in anticipation of commiting the guard during an imminent campaign.
